The Financial Planning & Analysis function manages all aspects of management reporting encompassing budgeting and forecasting, strategic and customer planning. This includes the management and execution of the corporate reporting and planning requirements
Role Summary:
This Senior Analyst role plays a key role in driving Corporate FP&A automation, reporting standardization, and business intelligence initiatives. The role partners closely with stakeholders to deliver high-quality financial insights, strengthen planning and forecasting processes, and develop scalable analytical solutions that support informed decision-making. The position combines strong financial planning and analysis ownership with expertise in automation, data, and business intelligence tools.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify, evaluate, and implement opportunities for automation and process efficiency, proactively anticipating the needs of internal customers and other stakeholders.
- Leverage BI and data visualization tools to deliver intuitive dashboards and self service analytics for stakeholders.
- Partner with finance systems and technology teams to enhance financial systems, data flows, and reporting architecture.
- Support the weekly, monthly, quarterly business driver forecasting and variances against budget, forecasts, prior year actuals. Review and provide thoughtful business driven commentary to respective management teams
- Identify and communicate driver-related revenue risks and opportunities and review and respond promptly to ad-hoc requests for information and analysis
- Support Mastercard strategic plans by providing relevant financial analytics and business insights to key stakeholders, while developing robust tracking mechanisms
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members, reviewing outputs and ensuring high quality standards.
- Manage multiple priorities across reporting cycles, strategic initiatives, and automation projects in a fast paced environment.
- Execute on financial process improvements by building and maintaining financial tools to perform analysis and modelling; review and create suggestions to financial systems
All About you:
- Educational qualification
- B.Tech with MBA Finance, Chartered Accountant or CPA
- Expertise in BI, analytics, and automation tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Alteryx, or similar).
- Experience in financial roles with advanced knowledge and experience with all phases of financial planning and management
- Working knowledge and experience with financial systems/applications (e.g. Hyperion and Oracle)
- Good understanding of reporting, forecasting and budgeting techniques.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Self-motivated with a proven track record of delivering success while operating in a team environment.
- Ability to deliver results in a fast-paced environment with a sense of urgency and accuracy
- Ability to manage multiple activities of different nature in a condensed timeframe
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Strong strategic thinking and business understanding.
- Strong relationship management and networking skills.
- Ambitious, highly driven and motivated.
- Maturity to challenge ideas and balance opportunities and threats.
