The Data & Services team is a key differentiator for Mastercard, providing the cutting-edge services that help our customers grow. Focused on thinking big and scaling fast around the globe, this team is responsible for end-to-end solutions for a diverse global customer base. Centred on data-driven technologies and innovation, these services include consulting, innovation, data&analytics, marketing services, loyalty solutions, and more.
Key customer segments include Financial Institutions, Fintech&Digital, Retail & Commerce, B2B, Acquiring, Small and Medium Enterprise (SME) and Government.
The Manager, Fintech&Digital (F&D) Segment is a key role in the Segment function under the Business, Integration and Expansion team in Data & Services (“D&S”). Segments provide the strategic direction for vision, products and capabilities to meet market, competitive, and client partner needs and act as a customer-first steward for our business.
Role
The Manager, F&D Segment management role involves understanding current partner & market needs and trends, and influence the product teams to ensure that Mastercard Data & Services optimizes current offerings to support these needs, as well as considers launching new products, capabilities, and services to fuel future growth.
Also, it involves working with the Marketing team to create sales enablement materials to support the sales team to effectively position our solutions to the right buying center.
The ideal candidate is passionate about delivering data-driven, customer-focused solutions to customers, highly motivated, intellectually curious, solutions-oriented and possesses an entrepreneurial mindset. Additionally, the ideal candidate is well known for being highly collaborative with the ability to influence, managing projects to flawless completion, with a high level of accountability.
This role reports to the VP of F&D Segment and works in strong partnership with the SVP, Fintech, Digital and SME Segment.
Key Responsibilities:

Monitor market trends and customer needs and partner with New Product Development and Product Management organization to ensure our value proposition answers key customer needs and position Mastercard as a leader in this space.

Ensure Go to Market readiness for F&D products and solutions, in partnership with the Product Management and Sales teams

Provide expertise to assist in crafting customer value propositions working with Marketing and Sales Teams

Provide Subject Matter Expertise for the F&D Practice – providing thought leadership around trends, segment needs, and growth strategies, organizing initiatives and projects to progress the Segment agenda, and monitoring performance of delivery

Track Segment growth and diversification targets globally and work with Finance and Analytics team to ensure accuracy of revenue data allocation to the F&D segment

Ability to operate in matrixed and distributed (global/regional/market) organizations

Previous experience in Fintech, Digital, Technology companies, consulting preferred

Previous experience in Product Management, Marketing preferred
-
Experience living and/or working in different countries preferred

Commercial acumen and experience working directly with customers
-
Ability to communicate at all levels internally and externally
-
Exceptional at relationship building, conveying credibility and confidence
-
Execution-oriented to drive the right outcomes for customers, partners and Mastercard
-
Structured and thorough, with excellent project and stakeholder management skills
