• Master Card Advisors, the professional services arm of Master Card Worldwide, provides payments-focused consulting, marketing, information and risk management services to financial institutions and merchants worldwide.

• The Role

• A Consultant is a team member who actively contributes to delivering consulting projects for Master Card Advisors’ clients as well as internal project development.

• Forms part of the Data & Analytics team helping shape the future of data insights by leveraging billions of anonymized, aggregated transactions and data in a 10 petabyte data warehouse to help financial institutions, merchants, media, and governments manage their businesses more effectively

• Contribute towards the development of strategies and programs for large, strategically important regional and global clients

• Structure, perform and synthesize own analysis to uncover the insights that support our recommendations to clients

• Proactively search for knowledge, data and information by interacting with clients and other areas of Master Card and Master Card Advisors

• Apply a range of quantitative analytical techniques to rigorously identify client issues

• Develops recommendations, prepares materials and present findings at team meetings

• Contributes to proposal preparation

• Data management for database preparation and quality checks

• Data analysis using R, Python, SQL, Hadoop

• Builds presentations in PowerPoint to document team´s products and offerings

• All About You

• Bachelor degree in Statistics, Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, Actuarial Science, Industrial Engineering, Economics or other data driven analytics degree

• Strong, hands-on data analysis skills

• Professional level of English is required

• Knowledge on Python, SQL or R for data manipulation and analysis

• Experience using PowerPoint to make presentations to summarize results

• Strong analytical, interpretive and problem solving skills, including ability to interpret large amounts of data, some of it ambiguous, and translate it into concise rational output

• Team player with ability to work with all levels in a highly intellectual, collaborative, and fast paced environment

• Affinity to learning new to technologies (Hadoop, Spark, Impala)

• Nice to have: knowledge on Shinny for tool development
