Title and Summary
Manager, Technology Account Management
Primary responsibilities include overall accountability and leadership for a complex projects successful and timely implementation as well as satisfying the intended business results. Core responsibility for managing relationships and communicating with the project sponsor, senior management and a wide range of project contributors. Identifies key barriers to a projects success and actively manages all mitigation activities.
Major Accountabilities:
Manages, evaluates and develops clients programs to support business, products, marketing, and technology needs for all Master Card cards and payment products and services.
- Responsible for Programs and Projects Management w/ External and Internal Customer Interaction
- Provide leadership and oversight on various projects of a complex nature.
- Responsible for planning, developing, and executing schedules to ensure timely completion of project deadlines and milestones.
- Ensure methodology compliance and manage resolutions, reporting to management when necessary.
- Ensure timely and accurate communication with project staff throughout the life cycle of the project.
- Maintains a work plan identifying responsibilities, deliverables and processes that must be executed in order to achieve expected results
- Monitor and manage the project budget.
- Must be familiar with the system’s scope and project objectives, as well as the role and function of each team member in order to effectively coordinate the activities of the teams.
- Identify and monitor project risks.
- Regularly communicates to management regarding the status of specific project deliverables.
- Provide measurable input into new products, processes, standards or plans in support of the business.
- Effectively lead the project team to align with the business objectives, project schedule, and project budget.
- Effectively deal with difficult situations and help develop solutions to complex problems.
- Supports pipeline management function as needed
- Support Customer Delivery Geography managing high impact initiatives as defined with geography head
- Manages kick off meeting of initiatives and ensures key components for successful delivery are in place
- Coordinates Master Card internal functions to ensure delivery of initiatives within budget, within established time frames and ensuring internal and external customer satisfaction
- Alerts and manages deviations from original plans to ensure actions taken to minimize impacts on budgets and time frames
- Provides regular updates to customer and Master Card internal teams
- Ensures smooth transition to production environment and maintenance pieces are in place to support on-going operation with customer
- Manages/ work on several projects concurrently
- Ability to travel at least 30% of the time for meetings with customers, training and staff meetings as needed
Experience Required:
Demonstrated expertise in the areas of strategy, planning and project management. 4 to 7 years of experience with structured methodology and project planning tools. Knowledge of payments industry preferred. This position also requires project management, planning, analytical skills, ability to communicate and present/report, interpersonal skills to lead a diverse team (internal and customers).
Key Educational Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree required.
- Knowledge of the payments industry preferred.
- PMP certification is desired.
Skills/ Abilities:
- Listening, oral, written and presentation skills and effective interpersonal skills.
- Organizational and planning and multi-tasking skills.
- Strong analytical/problem solving and planning skills.
- Strong leadership, interpersonal, relationship-building and negotiation skills required with a solid track record for developing internal and external relationships.
- Language: English is a must, written and oral communication skills; Spanish is a “plus
