- The successful candidate will be responsible for covering patient initial intake evaluations occasionally and covering classes in the gym occasionally.
- Responsibilities include maintaining data collection for reportable patient outcomes, chart audits, staff education and orientation, referral and eval management, handling staff callouts, managing patient scheduling template in epic, along with other day to day operational duties.
This position is 32 hours, Monday through Friday, no weekends, no holidays, no on-call time
Qualifications:
- 3-5 years of Cardiac/Telemetry/Critical Care experience
- Has experience and is comfortable with patient's s/p MI (heart attack), PCI (Cardiac stent placement), Heart Failure, and patients with chronic lung disease
- Excellent computer skills (Microsoft Office, specifically Excel)
- Experience using LSI (cardiac rehab monitoring system) and EPIC are a plus but not required.

Summary:
Accountable for interpreting the plan of medical care, assessment of patients' clinical decision-making regarding nursing care, assuring nursing care is provided in a safe and competent manner, providing individualized nursing care, and evaluating nursing care for groups of patients. Acts in lead capacity to other nursing staff.
Essential Functions
Maintain accurate, detailed reports, and records.
Administer medication to patients and monitor patients for reactions or side effects.
Record patients' medical information and vital signs.
Monitor, record, and report symptoms or changes in patients' conditions.
Collaborates with nurse managers and staff to assess the learning needs and competencies of staff.
Demonstrates best practices for staff to follow.
May participate on teams or perform special projects/assignments.
Performs other duties as assigned

Associate's Degree Nursing required or:

Registered Nurse RN - State License required:
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support ACLS Certification preferred
Basic Life Support BLS Certificate preferred:

Clinical nursing experience 2-3 years required
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Familiarity with the principles and skills needed for practical nursing to provide patient care and treatment.
Knowledgeable of the care required by respective age groups for which care is being provided.
Strong written and oral communication skills.
Ability to build strong relationships.
Identifying complex problems and reviewing related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions.
