Job Summary

We are redefining Primary Care and making a meaningful impact in Boston and surrounding communities.

Brigham and Women's Advanced Primary Care Associates at South Huntington has an opportunity for a Board Certified or Board Eligible Internal Medicine or Family Medicine Physician to join our innovative and patient-centric practice, focusing on adult patient care. You will be able to work alongside esteemed clinicians and world-class specialists from Brigham and Women’s Hospital as part of our Primary Care Center of Excellence.

Founded in 2011 as a learning laboratory for the Brigham, Advanced Primary Care Associates, South Huntington is located less than one mile from Brigham and Women’s Hospital’s (BWH) main campus and serves a diverse population of patients across all socioeconomic backgrounds. The clinic uses a team-based model with integrated diabetes, hypertension, and geriatrics programs. Education is a core tenet of the clinic’s mission, and South Huntington serves as a key teaching site for Brigham and Women’s internal medicine residents and Harvard Medical School (HMS) students.

You will work alongside nationally and internationally recognized primary care clinicians and leaders in healthcare delivery, innovation, and policy. Many of our physicians also hold leadership roles across organizations including Mass General Brigham, HMS, industry, and thank tanks. This position is well suited for clinicians with secondary interests in research, healthcare policy, population health, medical education, or a unique clinical focus aligned with our mission. Experience or an interest in behavioral health, quality improvement, or women’s health is an added plus.


Our practices focus on providing patient-centered, high-quality, team-based care and education. Our team leverages knowledge analytics to deliver population health. We embrace the care of the patient with multidisciplinary teams to provide expanded services. Delve into patient-focused practice while embracing a team and value-based population health management approach. We offer flexible scheduling, part-time schedules or full-time (8 sessions/week) schedules and 30-minute visit templates. 


As a Brigham and Women’s Primary Care Physician, you can benefit from:
•    Ambient scribe system to facilitate note writing and completion
•    Dedicated after-hours APP call team, MD backup call only, once every 2 years.
•    Added efficiency with our virtual in-basket team, assisting with triaging in-basket messages.
•    Support from a centralized team handling prescription refill requests and prior authorizations.
•    30-minute patient visits and manageable patient panels.
•    Generous sign-on bonus and a 3-year panel ramp-up period.

Qualifications:

  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited medical school.
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine.
  • Active, or ability to obtain an unrestricted medical license to practice in Massachusetts, including MCSR and DEA.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and time management skills.
  • Language proficiency in Spanish or Haitian Creole is a plus.

Appointment at Harvard Medical School—Depending upon the position, there may be opportunities to teach residents and medical students. All Harvard Medical School Faculty appointments require at least 50 hours of teaching per academic year. Harvard Medical School faculty appointment is not a requirement for this position. Academic rank as Instructor or Assistant Professor, full-time or part-time at Harvard Medical School, will be considered for applicants meeting teaching expectations and will be commensurate with experience, training, and achievements.
