Job Summary:
The Division of Neuropsychiatry and Neuromodulation at Massachusetts General Hospital and Harvard University is recruiting a full-time Clinical Research Coordinator (CRC) to join our lab, with the primary goal of data analysis working on various exciting and innovative human neuroscience projects. Our laboratory is a multidisciplinary group conducting clinical, translational, and basic neuroscience research with healthy and neuropsychiatric populations. We use a wide variety of techniques, including neuromodulation (TMS, tDCS, ECT, DBS, etc.), neuroimaging, EEG/neurophysiology, digital biomarkers, behavioral and clinical assessments. Additionally, the division includes the Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) clinical service, which is tightly integrated with our research mission and where we treat neuropsychiatric populations
Qualifications:
The CRC will work closely with investigators, post-docs, and study staff to oversee current and upcoming studies.
· The CRC will be responsible for data analysis, data management and data collection.
· Common data types include multimodal MRI, EEG, EMG, digital biomarkers (i.e. smartphone passive and active assessments, wearables, voice and face recognition), behavioral and neuropsychological tasks, and standardized clinical questionnaires. These are often acquired in the context of different neuromodulaiton interventions, such as TMS, tDCS/tACS, ECT, etc.
· Data analysis will require the use of various statistical software (such as R) as well as programming languages such as Python and Matlab in a Linux environment.
· Data management will require handling data within a server environment and optimize the functionality of the database.
· The position would also be responsible for setting up scripts for evaluating the quality of the data.
· The position requires coding, implementing, de-bugging and optimizing scripts that quantify neuroimaging, neurophysiology and behavioral data, under the supervision and mentoring of experience faculty and postdocs.
· The position includes opportunity to develop novel scripts and learn cutting edge computational technology, including machine learning techniques.
· The CRC will participate in the production of scholarly reports, research abstracts, posters, and manuscripts for publication (including opportunities for first author roles when appropriate).
· Preference is given to candidates who are interested in data science or research as their long-term career.
