Join us and get the opportunity to make a meaningful impact to the projects we work on while gaining first-hand experience what it is like to be part of a high performing SW development team.ODSP PHY SW Team works on Marvell's Networking PAM4 DSPs for use in data center optical modules. The SW team owns all the SW components that interacts with the DSPs, including embedded FW, customer SDK, lab test, and QA. The SW team is a critical part of the product development flow and is the goto group for getting things done, whether in the field or the lab.
Marvell's DSPs are used in 100G to 1.6T optical modules in every major cloud data center around the world. Even the data used for this job description has travelled through many of Marvell's DSPs to reach your computer, and our products are a key part of the biggest AI clusters that power all the latest generative AI projects.

What You Can Expect:

• Develop embedded C FW for controlling extremely complicated DSP HW
• Develop C & Python test code for utilities, GUIs, regression, and simulation infrastructure
• Take an idea from concept through design, review, implementation, test, and release to customers
• Work on mission critical features for top tier cloud customers
• Debug difficult issues, drive to root causes with HW/SW teams, and follow up with Jira tickets to get bugs resolved

What We're Looking For

• Minimum Requirements:Candidate MUST be currently pursuing a BS degree in CS/EE or related technical field(s)
• 1+ years of related course work
• Must be curious and driven to learn more about this complicated field
• Preferred Requirements:Excellent problem solving skills
• Strong proficiency in C and Python with knowledge of git, linux, makefiles, gbs, IDEs, and bash all a plus
• Understanding of the software development flow for issue tracking using tools like Jira, going through design and code reviews (gitlab), continuous integration (Jenkins) and regression testing
• Background in computer / processor architecture

Expected Base Pay Range (CAD)

36 - 48, $ per hour.
