Description:

We are seeking a talented individual to join our Risk Consulting team at Marsh. This role will be based in remote anywhere in the US. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office. As a Senior Engagement Lead – Risk Consulting focused on Power Generation and digital infrastructure, you will complement Marsh’s Specialty Risk Engineering services for prospective and existing Power Generation clients. You will lead complex client engagements, provide expert guidance on construction and operational risks for power plants and hyperscale data centers, and serve as a strategic advisor to clients, colleagues, and the insurance market.

We will count on you to:

  • Lead complex Power Generation and digital infrastructure risk consulting engagements, acting as a senior subject matter expert and strategic advisor to clients and internal stakeholders
  • Provide professional services including construction schedule review, design review for power plants and data center shells, and natural catastrophe analysis to support client and market objectives.
  • Support client executives and placement teams by preparing and reviewing construction risk reports, attending insurance carrier site visits, and advocating on behalf of clients
  • Author comprehensive construction and operational all-risk reports and develop property and machinery breakdown loss estimates using Marsh’s Power Gen Loss Estimating Tool
  • Evaluate risks associated with property damage, machinery breakdown, and natural catastrophe exposure, and recommend practical mitigation strategies
  • Build and expand senior-level client relationships, including with C-suite executives, identifying opportunities to grow Marsh’s risk consulting and risk engineering services portfolio

What you need to have:

  • Minimum of 10+ years of relevant professional experience in Power Generation property insurance risk consulting and/or Power Generation construction project management
  • Demonstrated expertise in leading property insurance surveys and evaluating complex construction and operational risks for large-scale power generation and renewable energy projects
  • Proven experience reviewing and commenting on engineering design documents, project schedules, and related project controls for major construction programs
  • Strong technical writing, communication, and project/time management skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and senior leadership

  • Prior experience in digital infrastructure and hyperscale data center construction risk consulting, including protection strategies and project execution
  • Degree in engineering or a related technical discipline and/or relevant professional designations in risk engineering, risk management, or insurance
  • Demonstrated ability to engage confidently with C-suite executives, build trust as a strategic business advisor, and employ a consultative approach to problem-solving and client service

Marsh is committed to hybrid work, which includes the flexibility of working remotely and the collaboration, connections and professional development benefits of working together in the office. All Marsh colleagues are expected to be in their local office or working onsite with clients at least three days per week. Office-based teams will identify at least one “anchor day” per week on which their full team will be together in person.

The applicable base salary range for this role is $139,800 to $297,900.

The base pay offered will be determined on factors such as experience, skills, training, location, certifications, education, and any applicable minimum wage requirements. Decisions will be determined on a case-by-case basis. In addition to the base salary, this position may be eligible for performance-based incentives.
