As a Principal Packaging Engineer, you will lead a series of sustainability focused change programs that will help to deliver our sustainability goals while contributing significantly to future compliance readiness. This role will drive transformative change through dynamic collaboration, ensuring seamless transitions and empowering teams to thrive with minimal disruption.
This role is part of our Mars Snacking Organization and will develop and deploy packaging strategies and initiatives that will support our core brand growth, efficiency and innovation.

What are we looking for?

Bachelor's degree in Packaging Engineering, or related field considered. Masters preferred.

Minimum of 10 years of Flexible Packaging Material design, development, and optimization within a CPG Industry preferred.

A deep understanding of sustainable packaging practices, materials, and design principles.

Proven ability to design, sequence and oversee large strategic change programs.

Proven success in presenting and influencing senior stakeholders and non-technical audiences.

Demonstrated project management and communication skills.
-
Problem-solving mindset with a demonstrated ability to innovate and drive change.
What would your key responsibilities be?

Leadership and delegation of key packaging sustainability development projects
-
Lead sustainable technical development pillar across the Mars Snacking North America Portfolio

Navigate dynamic compliance landscape and internal/external networks to drive forward change and solutions

Collaborate cross functional cell teams to ensure solutions are fit for purpose and achieve consumer expectations

Partner with Global Packaging and Engineering teams where delivery of new materials technologies are required.

The base pay range for this position at commencement of employment is between the range listed below, however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including but not limited to job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position will include variable pay, medical and dental benefits, participation in 401k plan, and paid time off benefits. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an applicant receives an offer of employment.
The pay range shown is applicable to all US locations listed within the job posting:USD 153,600.00 - USD 211,200.00
