Site Logistics Manager

Fort Smith, AR (ARK)

As a key member of the Fort Smith, AR site leadership team, the Site Logistics Manager provides strategic oversight of all end-to-end logistics operations within a high-volume, multi-technology manufacturing environment supporting the Mars Petcare network and direct-to-customer channels. This role holds full accountability for inbound materials, warehousing, outbound logistics, yard management, and transportation, ensuring alignment with network objectives, operational excellence, and superior service delivery. Through cross-functional leadership and external partnership management, this position enables supply continuity, cost efficiency, and customer satisfaction.

What are we looking for?

Educational & Professional Qualifications

  • BS / BA Business, Logistics, Supply Chain or related field preferred

  • 5+ years’ experience in Logistics or Supply Chain Management

Knowledge/Experience

  • 3+ years managing people

  • Strong knowledge of SAP, JDA or Red Prairie WMS ,ISO, Quality Management Systems, Good Manufacturing Practices and Food Safety

  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate, influence, negotiate, motivate and lead a team.

  • Ability to lead multiple teams across different areas of operation

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Effectively communicate and influence at all levels of the organization including the reporting and presentation of data

  • Strong computer skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Nexus)

  • Ability to transfer procedures and training experiences to others

  • Flexibility to adapt to regularly changing priorities and quality issues

  • Ability to handle sensitive information

What will be your key responsibilities?

  • Provide strategic leadership and end-to-end accountability for all campus logistics operations, including on-site and off-site warehousing, freezer operations, 3PL partnerships, and transportation shuttle networks, ensuring operational excellence, cost optimization, and service reliability.

  • Develop and execute integrated Supply Chain strategies aligned to OGSM priorities, driving competitive advantage, network alignment, and long-term value creation.

  • Proactively identify systemic supply chain constraints and deploy cross-functional solutions to protect service levels, optimize throughput, and enhance overall network performance.

  • Build organizational capability by developing high-performing leaders and succession pipelines, fostering a culture of accountability, engagement, and continuous improvement.

  • Champion and institutionalize cultural transformation initiatives aligned with FMOS, embedding standardized processes, performance discipline, and operational rigor across the logistics organization.

  • Establish and oversee robust risk mitigation and business continuity frameworks to ensure resilience in time-sensitive operations, safeguarding customer commitments and operational stability.

  • Lead governance of root cause and corrective action processes, leveraging data analytics and trend insights to drive sustainable process improvements and performance breakthroughs.

  • Serve as the senior regional liaison with internal stakeholders and external partners, aligning cost management, service excellence, and on-time performance to enterprise objectives.
