Job Description:

Mars Petcare- Stockroom Clerk- 2nd Shift- Columbus, OH

  • Pay: $26.87/hour and $2/hour Shift Premium
  • This site manufactures Petfood: Pedigree, Cesar, Nutro, Royal Canin, Iams & Whiskas

Shift Schedule:

Shift: 2nd

Schedule: Monday- Friday

Hours: 2pm-10:30pm (Afternoon)

(Flexible pending business needs)

Description of Role:

The Stockroom Clerk is responsible for managing inventory and stockroom operations in a fast-paced manufacturing environment using SAP for inventory tracking.

What are we looking for?

Minimum Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Experience in a stockroom or inventory related position
  • Proficiency in software systems including MS Office and e-mail

Physical Requirements:

  • Perform the essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Frequent lifting/carrying (10-50 lbs) and pushing/pulling (50-300 lbs)
  • Frequent bending, stooping, twisting, handling, and gripping.
  • Ability to work at elevated heights, climb stairs, lean over equipment, and operate in confined spaces.
  • Ability to stand and work on feet for extended periods, with shifts lasting 12 hours
  • Capable of working in hot, cold and wet conditions
  • Proficient in understanding, communicating, reading, and writing in English.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Technical degree or certification
  • Strong working knowledge of SAP
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment

What will be your Key Responsibilities?

  • Maintain accurate inventory records using SAP to process stock movements, transfers, and adjustments
  • Receive, inspect, and properly store incoming materials and parts.
  • Conduct regular cycle counts and audits to ensure stock accuracy.
  • Identify, resolve and troubleshoot inventory discrepancies promptly.
  • Ensure proper labeling and organized storage of stockroom items.
  • Adhere to safety and quality standards related to inventory management.
  • Facilitate transfer of items between the warehouse and the stockroom.
  • Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the stockroom area.
  • Any ad hoc requests as requested
