Mars Petcare- Stockroom Clerk- 2nd Shift- Columbus, OH
- Pay: $26.87/hour and $2/hour Shift Premium
- This site manufactures Petfood: Pedigree, Cesar, Nutro, Royal Canin, Iams & Whiskas
Shift Schedule:
Shift: 2nd
Schedule: Monday- Friday
Hours: 2pm-10:30pm (Afternoon)
(Flexible pending business needs)
Description of Role:
The Stockroom Clerk is responsible for managing inventory and stockroom operations in a fast-paced manufacturing environment using SAP for inventory tracking.
What are we looking for?
Minimum Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Experience in a stockroom or inventory related position
- Proficiency in software systems including MS Office and e-mail
Physical Requirements:
- Perform the essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Frequent lifting/carrying (10-50 lbs) and pushing/pulling (50-300 lbs)
- Frequent bending, stooping, twisting, handling, and gripping.
- Ability to work at elevated heights, climb stairs, lean over equipment, and operate in confined spaces.
- Ability to stand and work on feet for extended periods, with shifts lasting 12 hours
- Capable of working in hot, cold and wet conditions
- Proficient in understanding, communicating, reading, and writing in English.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Technical degree or certification
- Strong working knowledge of SAP
- Experience in a manufacturing environment
What will be your Key Responsibilities?
- Maintain accurate inventory records using SAP to process stock movements, transfers, and adjustments
- Receive, inspect, and properly store incoming materials and parts.
- Conduct regular cycle counts and audits to ensure stock accuracy.
- Identify, resolve and troubleshoot inventory discrepancies promptly.
- Ensure proper labeling and organized storage of stockroom items.
- Adhere to safety and quality standards related to inventory management.
- Facilitate transfer of items between the warehouse and the stockroom.
- Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the stockroom area.
- Any ad hoc requests as requested
