Activation Manager, Chewy
Franklin, TN
This role is based in Franklin, TN with regular in-office collaboration expected. Flexibility is a key enabler, empowering associates to make choices that support both business outcomes and personal needs, including occasional remote work.
The Activation Manager – Chewy, will lead and own Onsite and Offsite Media, including supporting Search Strategy within total Chewy Media Network and Platforms. They will manage the Chewy Ads Team relationship and work closely with Mars Chewy account team to define and deliver activation plans, including Onsite and Offsite Media, Onsite Merch placements , Onsite Search, and target audience group definition. They will be the leader and single point for on all Chewy Activation and Strategy, and will work closely with our Media Agency (who will support them on media trafficking and content production), Brand Managers, and National Media Managers to deliver integrated full funnel plans.
What are we looking for?

Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, or a Related Field
-
3+ Years’ experience in Sales, Marketing, and/or Search & Media for Fast Moving Consumer Good Industries
-
Knowledge of Media management (fundamentals/budget, YouTube/Meta/etc., Search, Agency Management)
-
Customer-facing sales experience preferred
-
Availability to travel up to 25%
What would be your key responsibilities?
-
Owns the relationship with retailer’s marketing ads team, including frequent connects and correspondence to ensure synced strategy and execution
-
Leads and develops retailer marketing calendar and activations including, but not limited to retailer onsite media, targeted offers, and offsite media to deliver against Sales Targets and Media KPI’s

Informed to support Search Strategy and Execution, keyword and audience strategies as part of holistic Activation Strategy

Manages agency that supports account, which includes program briefs for content production, campaign trafficking/execution, and optimizations
-
Stays in close contact with customer account team to integrate and align on priorities, programs, and campaigns
-
Owns the activation component of retailer Joint Planning, and Business Reviews

Manages and Owns our Budget /allocation process across brands, techs, hero SKU’s; Manages the budget in close contact with finance partner, ensures proper visibility

Designated POC for any customer BTL spends (i.e. content production, data costs)

Owns, tracks progress against, and provides learnings from test & learn agenda

Timely activation updates, including periodic share outs on Retail Media Network /Activation Performance with leadership and team
-
Collaborates with marketing + Sales Strategy teams to deliver against full funnel marketing campaigns and Innovation Launch Planning
-
Assesses and identifies risks and opportunities for incremental funding when relevant, including building blocks from activation support
-
Responsible for their retailer’s plan integration National Marketing/Recruitment functions (Briefs, Spend Pacing, etc.)

Supports as business user for Data and Analytics team tool development when relevant (i.e. building/improving a search and media tool with global tech support)
