What You’ll Do
As our Key Account Manager, you’ll be at the heart of our commercial strategy, responsible for delivering profitable sales growth across key accounts. You’ll build and nurture relationships with both internal teams and external partners, ensuring our customer plans are executed flawlessly. This role is multidimensional, challenging, and the perfect springboard for a rewarding career at Mars.
What are your key responsibilities?
- Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement the Annual Operating Plan for your Key Accounts, setting the stage for mutual success.
- Negotiation Excellence: Lead annual Trade Term Agreement negotiations and ensure compliance throughout the year.
- Customer Engagement: Proactively cultivate strong relationships and design SMART engagement plans to unlock sustainable, shared growth.
- Brand Distinctiveness: Drive Perfect Store Execution, making our brands stand out to shoppers and partners alike.
- Tailor-Made Promotions: Create and coordinate bespoke promotional plans for each account, with a sharp focus on effectiveness.
- Insightful Forecasting: Participate in fact-based forecasting and innovation processes to minimize disruptions and maximize opportunities.
- Financial Stewardship: Manage account-specific budgets, ensuring healthy financial development and alignment with strategic goals.
What are we looking for?

Education: A university degree (M.Sc or B.Sc) in Economics or Business, or higher education (HBO/HEAO) with a focus on Sales/Commerce.

Experience: A minimum of 3 years of sales experience, preferably in a multinational or grocery channel environment.

Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint) and fluency in both English and Dutch.

Customer-Centric Mindset: Always put the customer first and strive to exceed their expectations.

Results-Driven: Demonstrate a strong drive for results and a willingness to go the extra mile.

Organizational Agility: Build and leverage a strong internal network to achieve objectives.

Languages: Fluent in both English and Dutch (Dutch language is essential for this role).
