Contract Logistics

Warehouse operations

Are you a Business Development professional with hands-on experience in Contract Logistics and warehousing?

Do you thrive on shaping customer solutions, developing new business, and turning complex operational needs into scalable and efficient warehouse setups?

If you’re ready to grow your career in one of the world’s most forward‑thinking logistics organizations, this could be your next step.

At Maersk, we go all the way

We’re on a journey to become the true integrator of logistics - simplifying and connecting supply chains through end‑to‑end solutions. None of that happens without our people. In this role, you’ll be part of a team focused on strengthening and expanding our Contract Logistics (CL) warehouse footprint across the Scandinavian market.

What We Offer

In this role, you’ll join an international, high‑paced environment where diversity, collaboration, and customer focus are at the core.

You can look forward to:

  • Working closely with a strong team of CL and warehouse specialists
  • Playing a key role in shaping and winning new warehouse solutions
  • A culture where you're encouraged to challenge status quo, grow your capabilities and make a real impact
  • Being part of an organization that values its people, celebrates wins, and invests in your development

You’ll team up with colleagues who live our values and go all the way - for our customers, our communities, and each other.

About the Role

As Business Development Manager, you will drive growth in our Contract Logistics solutions by engaging new customers, expanding existing accounts, and designing value‑creating warehouse setups that align with Maersk’s Integrator strategy.

You will own and develop your customer portfolio and collaborate closely with solution design, operations, and product teams to deliver high-quality, scalable warehouse solutions.

Key Responsibilities

New Customer Development

  • Build and maintain a strong pipeline for Contract Logistics warehouse opportunities, acting as a proactive door‑opener for new business
  • Own the customer relationship from first contact through proposal, negotiation, and implementation
  • Develop robust, feasible, and cost‑effective warehouse solutions that address customer pain points
  • Ensure all customer agreements, SOPs, and contracts are aligned with Maersk standards and effectively communicated to relevant stakeholders

Customer Growth & Strategy

  • Create clear, insight‑driven customer strategies focused on warehouse needs, challenges, and growth opportunities
  • Identify and pursue new prospects aligned with our vertical strategy
  • Drive upselling initiatives and ensure leads are followed up across the full portfolio

Ways of Working

  • Apply Maersk commercial processes and tools consistently
  • Maintain a healthy, well‑documented CRM pipeline to ensure both short‑term and long‑term performance
  • Execute periodic sales campaigns and contribute actively to account planning and strategy execution
  • Deliver on agreed KPIs and objectives in close alignment with management

Who We Are Looking For

We are seeking a candidate with solid experience in Contract Logistics warehouse environments — not just general logistics.

You should bring:

  • Experience in a customer‑facing commercial role within Contract Logistics / warehouse operations
  • A strong understanding of warehouse solutions, value‑added services, implementation flows, and CL terminology
  • A proven track record of identifying, pursuing, and winning new business
  • Experience operating in a global, matrix‑driven organization and building strong cross‑functional relationships
  • Strong communication, influencing, and negotiation skills
  • Consultative selling capabilities with the ability to challenge, question, and uncover true customer needs
  • Resilience, drive, and a passion for delivering results

We look forward to hearing from you
