Job Title: Learning & Development Manager

Location: Area level based out of Mumbai

Department: Customer Experience

Position Summary

The L&D Manager at Maersk-IBS, is responsible for designing and executing a capability-building strategy that aligns with the "Global Integrator" vision. Your mission is to ensure our 700+ colleagues have the technical, digital, and leadership skills required to lead the logistics industry into the future.

Key Responsibilities

1.

Strategic Learning Architecture:

  • Needs Analysis: Conduct deep-dive Training Needs Analysis to identify skill gaps driven across verticals covering the ocean and logistics team.
  • MPACT Integration: Align all L&D initiatives with the MPACT framework, focusing on the connection between learning, performance, and rewards.
  • Trusted Advisor Journey : Be the torch bearer for the customer service team and lead them on their journey of being the Trusted Advisor for our customers.
  • Future Capabilities: Develop "future-ready" curriculums focusing on AI-powered logistics, supply chain resilience, and decarbonization.

2.

Program Design & Innovative Delivery:

  • Adaptive Learning: Implement AI-driven learning paths that adjust difficulty based on performance and deliver intervention at the "moment of need."
  • Blended Learning: Facilitate a mix of virtual, in-person, and immersive experiences (VR/Simulations) for customer service team based across India, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka
  • Overall team development: Scale Maersk’s leadership commitments—Self-awareness, Emotional Intelligence, and Cultural Insight—to ensure customer partners can manage high-pressure environments with empathy.

Qualifications & Competencies

  • Experience: 7+ years in L&D, Talent Management, or Organizational Development within a multinational, Global 500 environment.
  • Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in HR, Psychology, Education, or a related field.
  • Tech Savvy: Proficiency with modern Learning Management Systems (LMS), AI learning tools, and data analytics platforms.
  • Strategic Mindset: Ability to translate complex business goals into accessible learning roadmaps.
  • Maersk Values Alignment: A deep commitment to Constant Care, Humbleness, and Uprightness. You should be comfortable speaking up and doing the "right thing" even when it’s difficult.
