We are looking for passionate and talented Software Engineers to join our Safety & Customer Care team. In this role, you will play a key part in leveraging rapidly evolving AI technologies to significantly improve our customer support experience. Responsibilities:

Collaborate with Product Managers, Designers, and other Engineers to define and deliver new product features and technical initiatives.

Design, develop, test, and deploy highly scalable and reliable software services and applications.

Write clean, well-tested, and maintainable code, following engineering best practices.

Participate in design and code reviews to ensure system quality and performance.
-
Monitor system health and performance, troubleshoot production issues, and implement effective resolutions.

Proactively identify and implement improvements to our development processes, architecture, and engineering infrastructure.
Experience:
-
3+ years of experience in software development, distributed systems, and infrastructure engineering.

Experience with object-oriented programming (bonus points for Python or Go)
-
Experience in distributed systems (e.g.: Kubernetes, gRPC)
-
Experience in defining API schemas and developing backend services in a microservices environment
-
Experience in working with databases, relational or NoSQL
-
Experience in writing clear and scalable design documentation
-
Excellent communication and collaboration skills with experience working in cross-functional teams.

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a passion for tackling complex challenges.

The expected base pay range for this position in the Toronto area is CAD $108,000 - CAD $135,000, not inclusive of potential equity offering, bonus or benefits. Salary ranges are dependent on a variety of factors, including qualifications, experience and geographic location.
