Work Location: IOI City, Putrajaya

Work Arrangement: Fully onsite, Monday to Friday (5 days a week)

Main Responsibilities:

• Support business operations by configuring systems or developing new features within Java applications.

• Monitor application performance and ensure high responsiveness and reliability.

• Analyze and resolve production issues, provide root cause analysis, and implement preventive measures.

• Contribute to maintaining and improving code quality, with a focus on test automation.

• Stay updated with technology trends and propose solutions that enhance productivity and business efficiency.

• Maintain comprehensive documentation for development and production support processes.

Experience:

• Minimum 4 years of hands-on experience as a Java Developer, with exposure to both Waterfall and Agile methodologies.

• Strong understanding of development processes including testing, code quality, and system design.

• Experience in a technical leadership capacity within a project is a plus.

Technical Skills:

• Proven experience as a Java Developer or in a similar role.

• Strong understanding of object-oriented programming and design patterns.

• Proficient in Java frameworks such as Spring and Hibernate.

• Skilled in SQL and experience with relational databases (e.g., Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL).

• Familiar with version control systems such as Git or RTC.

• Solid knowledge of RESTful APIs and web services.

• Experience with JUnit and automated testing practices.

Soft Skills:

• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

• Proficiency in English is required to effectively collaborate with a multinational team.

• Ability to work well in a team environment and engage with both technical and business stakeholders.

• Self-motivated, proactive, and adaptable to changing priorities.

• Strong sense of ownership and accountability.

Academic Requirements:

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in information technology or a related field.

• Alternative learning paths (e.g., coding bootcamps) may also be considered.

• Professional certifications (e.g., ITIL) are a plus.

Preferred Industry Background:Experience in the Finance, Banking, or Insurance sectors is highly desirable. Prior exposure to production support and interaction with business users is an added advantage.
