We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and focused system administrator to join the team. The ideal candidate would have 2 or more years of experience in administration hosting Infrastructure stack of products such as Microsoft, v Mware, Net App Storage, Networking, end to end user desktops. Candidates must be willing and able to learn technologies they currently lack expertise in.

Responsibilities

Under direction of the SITE Manager, your duties will include following:

• Maintain system health, and improve stability of infrastructure environment
• Install, configure & maintain server infrastructure, including physical and virtual
• Administrate Active Directory (AD) 2008/2012, User Accounts, Computer Accounts, Service Accounts, Security Accounts & Groups, DNS, DHCP, ADSD, Group Policy, NFS shares
• Maintain ESXi hypervisor 5.5/6.5, with v Center 6.5
• Administration of data storage using Netapp On Command 8.3.1 including NFS filehare
• Administrate Microsoft Windows Server & Linux Systems
• Administration of Storage data backup using Symantec Net Backup and tape drives
• Responding to all incoming requests & incidents from all stakeholders providing 2/3 support where required
• Create/maintain/review ICT documentation – technical and operational
• Provide automating and scripting application installation and customisation
• Reporting on outstanding jobs as required

Additional Responsibilities:

• Manage ITIL service management responsibilities including incident management and change management
• Adhere to Defence and system security policies and constraints
• Contribute to weekly reporting
• Participate in project work
• Identify and suggest ideas for continuous improvement
• Training and development to round out skills base with required technologies
• Communicating/Analsying with Project Managers/Project Developers, Testers and Managers to deliver external stakeholder expectations and project goals

Essential Skills:

• Good knowlodge of server hardware and software technology
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft stack
• Adminstrating Active Directory & Networks
• Good working experience with VMware (ESXi), Virtual Networking
• Sound ability to troubleshoot hardware & software

Desirable Skills:

• Full stack infrastructure experience
• Scripting experience
• Good knowledge in Administrating Linux Environment
• Networking experience
• Good knowledge in supporting backup solution (Net Backup)
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field well regarded

Other Qualities/Qualifications

• Good analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work in a team environment
