Job Description:
Job Title: Senior SAP Solution Architect (S/4HANA)
Position Summary:
The Senior SAP Solution Architect is responsible for defining and delivering end-to-end SAP solution architectures that align with business strategies and enterprise standards. With over 15 years of SAP experience — including extensive expertise in SAP S/4HANA — this role provides leadership and vision across complex transformation programs. The Solution Architect ensures the coherence, scalability, and performance of integrated SAP landscapes, particularly within Aerospace, Defence, and Utilities sectors.
Key Responsibilities:
Solution Design & Architecture:
Define the overall SAP architecture and roadmap for S/4HANA transformation programs.
Translate business objectives into scalable, sustainable, and secure SAP solutions.
Lead the design of end-to-end processes across multiple functional domains (Finance, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Asset Management, etc.).
Ensure solution consistency and integration across SAP modules and non-SAP systems.
Project Leadership & Delivery:
Lead architecture and design phases of large, multi-stream SAP implementations or rollouts.
Provide technical and functional leadership to project teams, ensuring adherence to architectural principles and best practices.
Review and validate solution designs, functional specifications, and custom developments.
Manage architectural risks and dependencies across global programs.
- Stakeholder Engagement
Act as a trusted advisor to senior business and IT stakeholders.
Facilitate architecture review boards and design workshops with cross-functional teams.
Influence key decisions on solution strategy, technical direction, and roadmap alignment.
Communicate complex architectural concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Governance & Standards:
Define and enforce SAP architecture governance, design guidelines, and documentation standards.
Ensure alignment with enterprise architecture, cybersecurity, and data governance policies.
Promote reuse of existing assets, templates, and reference architectures within the organization.
Innovation & Continuous Improvement:
Stay current with SAP innovations (S/4HANA Cloud, BTP, AI, RISE with SAP, and Industry Cloud solutions).
Drive continuous improvement, automation, and simplification across the SAP landscape.
Mentor architects and consultants to develop technical and solution design capabilities.
Required Qualifications:
Education: Master’s degree in Information Systems, Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
Experience: Over 15 years of SAP experience, with deep expertise in SAP S/4HANA and prior experience leading complex, large-scale transformation programs.
Technical & Functional Expertise:
Proven experience designing integrated SAP solutions across modules such as FI/CO, MM, SD, PP, PM, and PS.
Solid understanding of integration technologies (SAP BTP, CPI, PI/PO, API management).
Strong knowledge of SAP architecture components, including security, data management, and infrastructure.
Demonstrated experience in Aerospace, Defence, and Utilities industries, with familiarity in compliance, asset-intensive operations, and manufacturing processes.
Soft Skills:
Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to challenge business requirements constructively and propose optimal solutions.
Strategic thinker with hands-on implementation experience.
Fluent in English (written and spoken); additional languages are an asset.
Preferred Qualifications:
SAP Certified Application or Technology Architect (S/4HANA).
Experience with RISE with SAP and SAP Cloud architectures.
Knowledge of industry-specific solutions such as SAP for Defence & Security, SAP for Utilities (IS-U), or SAP EAM.
Experience working in global Centers of Expertise (CoE) or multi-national environments.
