Job Description:

About the role:

We are looking for a growth-focused, self-driven Email Marketing Strategist to design and build DXC’s global email marketing program from the ground up. This is a high-impact role responsible for defining how email supports demand generation, customer engagement, client nurturing and multi-channel campaigns across the organization.

You will architect the email marketing strategy, design nurture and lifecycle journeys, define GDPR-compliant segmentation and governance, and shape how AI enhances personalization and automation. You will work with Marketing Operations, IT, Creative, Analytics and Sales to build a scalable, insight-driven channel that nurtures prospects, accelerates pipeline, and strengthens client relationships. You will set the strategic direction, frameworks and standards that other teams will execute.

Our offices are located in (flexible work model):

  • Poland (Wroclaw, Krakow, Gdansk, Warsaw),

  • Bulgaria (Varna, Sofia),

  • Romania (Bucharest).

Key responsibilities:

1. Channel strategy and development

Build and lead the global email marketing strategy aligned with business, GTM and demand-generation goals

  • Define channel objectives, performance measurement frameworks and long-term roadmap

  • Establish governance models for GDPR compliance, segmentation, data usage, opt-in management and list hygiene

  • Create frameworks for newsletters, nurture streams, lifecycle programs and automated journeys

  • Ensure alignment with brand, content, portfolio marketing and campaign strategies

2. Journey and nurture architecture

Design persona, industry and account-level multi-touch nurture journeys

  • Map lifecycle programs across awareness, nurture, onboarding, retention and re-engagement

  • Define audience targeting models based on behavioral, firmographic and intent signals

  • Partner with creative services and content teams to shape messaging requirements and journey-level content needs

3. AI, personalization and modernization

Evaluate and recommend AI tools for personalization, journey optimization and predictive analytics

  • Introduce AI-driven segmentation, next-best-touch logic and content variation frameworks

  • Champion experimentation, innovation and best practices for relevance, automation and audience experience

4. Collaboration and cross-functional leadership

Work closely with Marketing Ops and IT to guide platform setup, integrations, data flows and automation requirements

  • Collaborate with Analytics to define KPIs, dashboards and insight frameworks

  • Partner with Sales and Sales Ops to ensure alignment on client communications, distribution lists and compliant outreach

  • Serve as the internal advocate for email governance, channel effectiveness and continuous improvement

5. Performance management and optimization

Define success metrics and establish a consistent reporting and optimization cadence

  • Interpret performance insights to refine journeys, improve segmentation and elevate email effectiveness

  • Lead structured testing strategies and champion a culture of experimentation

  • Produce periodic performance reviews and recommendations

Success Measures (6-12 Months)

  • A fully defined global email marketing strategy and governance framework in place

  • Core nurture and lifecycle programs launched across key personas, markets and GTM motions

  • GDPR-compliant segmentation and list management standards embedded in operations

  • Email fully integrated into campaign planning and execution frameworks

  • Regular reporting, insights and optimization cycles operational

  • Demonstrable improvement in engagement, conversion and pipeline contribution

  • AI-enabled personalization or optimization capabilities designed and in early deployment

Professional experience required:

  • 7+ years of experience in marketing, with strong experience on email, lifecycle, or marketing automation strategy in a B2B environment

  • Expertise in designing multi-touch nurture programs and lifecycle journeys

  • Strong understanding of GDPR and email compliance best practices

  • Familiarity with segmentation, CRM systems and marketing automation platforms

  • Strong strategic thinking and the ability to design frameworks, journeys and cross-channel integration plans

  • Skilled collaborator with experience working cross-functionally

  • Analytical mindset—comfortable interpreting data to drive recommendations

  • Strategic, structured, proactive, and self-directed

  • Advanced English proficiency (C1 level or equivalent), with strong written and verbal communication skills for working in a global, cross-functional organization

Highly Desirable:

  • Experience applying AI tools for personalization, insights, testing, or automation

  • Understanding of predictive analytics, lead scoring or next-best-action decisioning

  • Experience in technology or professional services industries
