At DXC Spain we are looking for a SAP Program Manager to join our great team of SAP.

The SAP Program Manager is a senior leadership role responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, and successful delivery of all SAP-related projects within the organization. This role ensures that all initiatives within the SAP area are delivered on time, on budget, on scope, and with high quality, while aligning with business objectives and IT governance standards.

The ideal candidate has extensive experience in managing SAP programs, strong leadership skills, and the ability to coordinate cross-functional teams and stakeholders at all organizational levels.

Requirements:

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Information Technology, Engineering, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 15+ years of experience in SAP project and program management.
  • Proven track record leading large, multi-year SAP programs (e.g., S/4HANA transformations, complex rollouts, integrations, or migrations).
  • Experience managing multimillion-dollar budgets and distributed teams.

Skills & Competencies:

  • Deep understanding of SAP architecture, modules, and implementation life cycle.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and executive stakeholder management skills.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
  • Experience working with external implementation partners and vendors.
  • Project management certifications (e.g., PMP, SAP Activate) are highly valued.

Tasks:

Program & Project Leadership:

  • Lead and manage the full SAP program portfolio, ensuring alignment with business strategy and IT roadmap.
  • Oversee planning, execution, monitoring, and closure of all SAP projects across modules and business areas.
  • Ensure delivery excellence by maintaining control of project timelines, budgets, risks, quality, and scope.

Governance & Methodology:

  • Establish and enforce program governance, reporting structures, and project management standards.
  • Ensure all projects follow predefined methodologies (e.g., SAP Activate, Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid models).
  • Foster continuous improvement in SAP delivery processes, tools, and frameworks.

Stakeholder Management

  • Serve as principal point of contact for senior business leaders, sponsors, and technical teams.
  • Facilitate communication between functional and technical stakeholders to ensure program visibility and alignment.
  • Manage expectations and resolve escalations proactively.

Risk, Issue & Change Management

  • Identify, assess, and mitigate risks that may impact program success.
  • Ensure robust change management practices to secure smooth adoption and minimize business disruption.
  • Drive decisions and corrective actions in complex or high-impact situations.

Team Leadership

  • Lead and mentor project managers, workstream leads, and cross-functional teams.
  • Coordinate internal and external resources, including system integrators and third-party vendors.
  • Promote a culture of accountability, collaboration, and high performance.
