Job Description:
JOB DESCRIPTION:
- Primary Function
To perform a Firewall Level 2+ implementation engineer role, with experience in handling and implementing small and medium scale projects
The Primary objective is to act support and work on small and medium and other firewall projects basis on the requirements. Facilitation, participation in technical design and review activities.
- Qualifications, Skills and R&R
2.1.
Primary Skills:
Firewall project implementation skills (Palo Alto,Fortinet,Checkpoint and Juniper) and preferably Palo Alto.
Good troubleshooting skills
Specific Firewall domain knowledge and flexible to work in day and night
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Effective time and task management
Initiative in service delivery
Interpersonal sensitivity and customer responsiveness.
Ability to communicate complex technical contents plainly and simply.
Strong consulting skills, flexibility and resourcefulness.
Ability to design and implement effective network technical solutions
2.2. Qualifications
Graduation/Diploma from Recognized University with Minimum 4-5 Years of Experience in Firewall domain
2.3. Experience
4-5- years experience in LAN and Firewall support and configuration and implementation
2.4.
Technical Experience:
Good understanding of IT environment including:
Ø Working knowledge of the OSI 7 layer model
Ø Good understanding of LAN and WAN technologies including: TCP/IP
Ø Hands-on experience in Palo Alto,Cisco,Fortinet, and Checkpoint Firewalls
Ø Experience of participation in Network design activities
Ø Should have sound knowledge of implementing and small and medium size project implementation
Ø Hands on experience on routing,switching,Load balancers and firewall implementation
of security concepts
2.5 Brief R&R :
Ø Part of small, medium and large size project
Ø Participate in information gathering
Ø Part of design review
Ø Part of the project engineering and implementation team
Ø Work closely with the sr. SME, L3 engineers and Project managers and follow their instructions and support them
Ø Handle small scale projects independently
Ø Work closely with PPM and customer
Ø Part of multiple projects basis on the requirements
Ø Coordination and follow-up and raising change
