Job Description:

Summary:

This role focuses on architecting and developing scalable solutions in Snowflake and Power BI, with an emphasis on data modeling, transformation orchestration, and analytics. The ideal candidate is proactive, self-driven, and able to shape the BI landscape for manufacturing and financial data domains.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement star schemas and data models for Snowflake, tailored to manufacturing KPIs, maintenance, safety, and logistics datasets.
  • Write transformation code across the Snowflake medallion architecture using DBT (raw, transformed, reporting layers).
  • Own master data management for fact and dimension tables in Snowflake.
  • Develop and automate KPI calculations leveraging Snowflake native tooling (Dynamic Tables, Tasks, Streams).
  • Build, optimize, and publish Power BI datasets and dashboards, enabling efficient connectivity and semantic modeling from Snowflake.
  • Lead workshops and knowledge-sharing sessions on Snowflake and Power BI best practices for Lindt’s BI teams.
  • Help drive the adoption and scaling of Snowflake and Power BI, influencing ways of working locally and globally.
  • Use Azure DevOps, Azure Repos, Snowflake Schemachange, and Streamlit in daily technical routines.
  • Collaborate effectively; proactively propose process and architectural improvements.
  • Manufacturing process knowledge is a plus, not a must. ETL tool ownership (High Byte, Lobster Data) is covered by other team members.
  • Technical Skills Priority
  • Advanced proficiency in Snowflake, DBT, SQL, Power BI (DAX, modeling, gateway configuration), Azure DevOps, Azure Repo, Streamlit, and Schemachange.
  • Experience designing data warehouses, star schema, and handling master data management.
  • Power BI dashboard development, dataset optimization, and best practice enablement.
  • Excellent communication and workshop facilitation skills.
