The Manager of Vehicle Launch will lead the cross-functional execution of new vehicle program launches within Lucid’s North American (AMP-1) manufacturing network. This role is responsible for ensuring that all programs —whether derivatives, new platforms, or model year changes—are launched safely, on time, within budget, and to world-class quality standards. This leader will collaborate closely with Manufacturing, Engineering, Supply Chain, Quality, Program Management, and Product Development teams to define launch readiness, establish key performance indicators, and drive flawless execution from prototype through Job #1.
You Will:
-
Assist in the development of AMP-1’s new vehicle launch strategy and governance for all vehicle, powertrain, battery and capacity (volume) programs.
-
Aid in the development of detailed launch readiness plans and cost assumptions, ensuring alignment across manufacturing, engineering, program management, logistics, finance, and supplier operations.
-
Lead cross-functional launch readiness reviews and ensure clear communication and escalation to senior leadership, including publication of required status and program assessment reports.
-
Partner with cross-functional teams to define and execute build events (pilot, pre-production, and ramp-up).
-
Ensure all launch activities meet Lucid’s standards for safety, quality, cost, and delivery.
-
Lead launch-related workstreams responsible for integrating new products into existing facilities or new production lines.
-
Collaborate with key stakeholders to manage timelines, risks, and recovery plans for all launch milestones.
-
Drive lessons learned and continuous improvement processes to enhance launch efficiency and repeatability.
-
Partner with Supply Chain and Logistics to ensure supplier readiness and material availability for launch builds.
-
Lead cross-functional issue resolution and serve as the escalation point for critical launch topics.
You Bring:
-
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, or a related technical discipline; advanced degree preferred.
-
8+ years of experience in automotive or advanced manufacturing environments, including at least 5 years in leadership roles focused on product or vehicle launches.
-
Demonstrated ability to lead complex vehicle or large-scale manufacturing launches from concept through production ramp-up.
-
Comprehensive understanding of manufacturing operations, quality systems, and cross-functional product development integration.
-
Experience designing, implementing, and managing launch‑related operating processes and procedures.
-
Strong leadership, communication, and organizational capabilities, with the ability to influence stakeholders across all organizational levels.
-
Effective problem‑solving skills with the capacity to operate in fast‑paced, dynamic manufacturing environments.
-
Experience in EV or advanced technology manufacturing environments preferred.
-
Willingness and ability to travel internationally as required, with some trips potentially lasting several weeks or months.
