Lockheed Martin is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Manufacturing Engineering Manager to lead our Air Dominance program team in Orlando, Florida. As a key leader in our organization, you will oversee a growing team of manufacturing engineers responsible for driving the success of our production programs.

What You Will Be Doing

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead a team of manufacturing engineers in providing Design for Manufacture input on development and production programs.

  • Transition new or revised designs from development to production, ensuring seamless integration and minimal disruption.

  • Develop and manage proposal estimates, leveraging expertise in manufacturing processes and costs.

  • Lead manufacturing process validation activities, driving quality and efficiency in our production operations.

  • Identify and implement cost reduction initiatives, improving overall program profitability.

  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to identify and mitigate risks to production, ensuring timely and effective resolution.

  • Provide manufacturing support to Lockheed Martin and supplier factories, ensuring alignment and optimal performance.

  • Manage program‑related manufacturing and tooling issues as they arise.

Collaboration and Communication:

• Foster strong relationships with stakeholders across the United States, including manufacturing engineers, design engineers, quality engineers, global supply chain professionals, finance teams, production planning and control specialists, contracts experts, and program managers.

  • Communicate effectively across functional and physical boundaries, ensuring alignment and coordination among diverse teams.

  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with internal and external partners, driving collaboration and mutual success.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelors or higher degree in technical discipline (electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, chemical engineering, etc.)
• Demonstrated an ability to work strategically as well as tactically to drive operations.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen and have the ability to obtain a security clearance
• Demonstrated effective communication skills including verbal, listening, technical writing and presentations
• Demonstrated effective interpersonal skills, including team building, collaboration and developing enduring business relationships
• Ability to liaison between Production Operations, Manufacturing Sites, Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, etc.
• Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve technical/process issues varying from basic to very complex
• Proficient in MS Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc.)
• Ability to travel domestically

Desired Skills:

• Experience with development programs & transitioning development programs to production
• Experience with design for automation & automation of manufacturing processes
• Knowledge & experience of additive manufacturing processes, materials, & application
• Experience with model based engineering
• Experience in Computer Aided Design (CAD) software
• Proposals / estimating and earned value management
• System Cost Account Manager experience
• Experience with leading teams
• Experience working with government customers
• Knowledge of Windchill PLM
• Knowledge of the SAP MRP production control system
• Lean / Six Sigma Green or Black Belt Certification
• Ability to effectively communicate technical information to non-technical colleagues
• Experience developing training & upskilling plans for a team

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
