THE JOB
A Barback at Peppermint Club supports the bartending team by ensuring the bar remains fully stocked, clean, and organized throughout service. In this fast-paced role, responsibilities include restocking beer, wine, spirits, glassware, ice, and other bar supplies; maintaining cleanliness of bar and storage areas; removing trash, used glassware, and empty bottles; refilling ice wells; and providing general operational support to bartenders as needed. The position requires the ability to work efficiently in a high-energy environment, lift heavy items such as cases and ice, and maintain health and safety standards, with availability for nights, weekends, and holidays.
WHAT THIS ROLE WILL DO
- Stay informed of current menu items and descriptions
- Follow Special Events guidelines to ensure event success
- Handle side duties including stocking ice bins, liquor, beer, wine, and coolers, including lifting/moving up to 25 lbs.
- Clean and assist with maintaining bar equipment
- Perform opening/running/closing side duties according to Live Nation policy
- Put all trash and recyclable products in proper receptacles
- Separate glass, cardboard, and plastics per local codes
- Operate trash compactor per procedures policy
- Ensure responsible alcohol service per local ordinance and Live Nation policies
- Ensure that trash containers are clean, free of odor and lined
- Maintain Live Nation safety and sanitation standards
- Par all ice bins to the fullest levels at all times
- Par all bars per venue specifications
- Wash and clean all bar glassware using proper cleaning supplies and techniques
- Required to occasionally work Special Events that are scheduled throughout the venue
WHAT THIS PERSON WILL BRING
Required:
- State or County Licensee or Certification Requirement/ Responsible Alcohol Awareness Training Certification or Equivalent
- Ability to work late hours
- Flexible schedule
- Skills in interpersonal communication and teamwork
- Tolerance of all cultures, music and art forms
- Responsible Alcohol Training Certification or Equivalent
Preferred:
- 3 years work experience interacting with people in a positive environment
- Experience recognizing valid ID’s
- Experience in a live music environment
Physical Demands/Working Environment:
- Working environment is fast-paced, often loud and stressful
- Position requires extended periods of prolonged standing and working on your feet both indoors and outdoors
- Must be able to lift or move up to 25 lbs using proper lifting techniques
- Intensely physical environment

The expected compensation for this position is:
$20.25 USD Hourly
Pay is based on a number of factors including market location, qualifications, skills, and experience.
