THE ROLEWe are looking for a highly organized, motivated individual with dynamic interpersonal skills. This individual will be an integral part of our accounting team responsible for supporting accounts payables processes, cash receipts processing, monthly reconciliations and reporting.

WHAT THIS ROLE WILL DO:

  • Supporting accounts payable team and processes

  • Process manual cheques, and wire payments

  • Maintain cash and cheque logs

  • Maintain compliance with internal controls

  • Prepare bank deposits

  • Prepare petty cash floats and reconcile expenses

  • Support show accounting in compiling necessary show file documentation

  • Support month-end processes as required

  • Support festival accounting as required

WHAT THIS PERSON WILL BRING

  • Strong organizational & time management abilities, detail oriented

  • Possess strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • 1-2 years general accounting experience

  • Ability to multi-task, proactively solve problems, and meet time-critical deadlines

  • Strong computer skills with demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Excel

The expected compensation for this position in Ontario is: $62,000-65,000

Physical Requirements/Work Environment

Sits for extended periods of time at a computer station or work desk; stands and walks throughout the day; occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.; uses hands and fingers to operate computers and office equipment for up to 8 hours each day; lifts up to 10 pounds regularly; exposed to typical office environment conditions and noise levels.
