We’re looking for a highly motivated Car Claims High Value Advocate, with a lot of positive energy and a genuine passion for helping others.

Specializing in injury claims, you’ll use your investigative skills to help us settle losses quickly and efficiently, surpassing customer expectations along the way. You’ll leverage your deep policy knowledge and sharp interpersonal skills to explain coverage decisions in plain English, without relying on insurance jargon.

IN THIS ROLE YOU’LL:

• Investigate and process injury claims according to company policies and state or federal laws

• Gather and evaluate police reports, medical records, and witness statements

• Interview claimants, witnesses, medical providers, and other parties to determine claim legitimacy and liability

• Determine appropriate claim value and negotiate settlements

• Maintain accurate and detailed records of all claim activity

• Collaborate with legal counsel and other departments as necessary

• Communicate claim status and outcomes to all relevant parties professionally and empathetically

• Stay current on industry trends, regulations, and medical terminology

WHAT YOU’LL NEED:

• 4+ years of injury liability claim-handling experience

• A background handling litigated and attorney-repped files, a major advantage

• Knowledge of insurance laws and regulations

• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills

• Excellent written and verbal communication

• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team

• Proficiency with claims management software and Microsoft Office

• The desire to work in a unique, dynamic, and fast-paced startup environment

• Surplus of empathy, patience, and positivity

• Comfortable with and adaptable to new technology and business tools

• Lemonade expects all advocates to have and maintain a license in good standing. If you do not currently have a license, our team will work with you to obtain the license within your first 3 months.

Lemonade's US base salary range for this full-time position is $72,000-$94,500 plus equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
