The Leidos Office of Technology (OOT)— Technology Integration, External Technology Partnerships team — is seeking an External Technology Analyst Intern to support project coordination, technology tracking, and operational execution across our external innovation portfolio.
This role is well-suited for a highly organized, analytically minded intern who is interested in emerging technology and enjoys bringing structure, clarity, and measurable progress to complex initiatives. The intern will help the team manage active external technology engagements, track key milestones and metrics, and build dashboards that provide visibility into portfolio performance.
The position offers exposure to commercial technology partners, internal engineering teams, and senior stakeholders while developing practical skills in project management, data organization, and technology analysis.
Primary Responsibilities.

Support coordination of active external technology projects, including tracking milestones, deliverables, risks, and dependencies.

Develop and maintain dashboards and reporting tools to provide visibility into portfolio status, metrics, and outcomes.

Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to technology evaluations, integrations, and transitions.

Assist in organizing partner engagements, meeting notes, action items, and follow-ups to ensure timely execution.

Conduct structured research on emerging technologies and summarize findings in concise briefing materials.

Assist in conducting structured due diligence on prospective external partners, including reviewing technical documentation, market positioning, maturity, and risk factors.

Prepare presentations, executive-ready summaries, and visual reports to communicate progress and insights.

Identify opportunities to improve process efficiency, reporting clarity, and operational rigor within the team.
Basic Qualifications.

Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Management, Economics, Public Policy, Information Systems, or a related discipline.

US Citizenship is required.

Strong organizational and project management skills with attention to detail.

Experience creating dashboards, reports, or data visualizations (e.g., Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI, Tableau, or similar tools).

Ability to synthesize information clearly and communicate effectively in written and verbal formats.

Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a structured environment.

Interest in emerging technology and innovation ecosystems.
Preferred Qualifications.

Experience supporting project coordination, portfolio tracking, or operational reporting efforts.

Familiarity with project management tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence, Smartsheet, Microsoft Project, or similar).

Exposure to technology strategy, venture ecosystems, or competitive analysis.

Demonstrated initiative in building structure, metrics, or process improvements.

Pay Range:
Pay Range $48,100.00 - $86,950.00
