Leidos Defense Systems Electrical Manufacturing is seeking an Inventory Specialist to join our team in Huntsville, AL. This position will support the manufacturing of electrical and mechanical components. Overtime may be needed as required by business demands.

Primary Responsibilities
This position will perform all inventory operations including:
- Proactively assist with the monitoring of Leidos inventory held across several sites.
- Support the cycle count posting, count monitoring, and training process, including, performing analysis, and completion of Inventory account reconciliations.
- Support Management Test Counts and other Inventory oversight functions
- Support internal/external auditors and the Leidos Strategic Regulatory Compliance team on all inventory questions
- Training count manager and other Leidos teams on Inventory procedures, policy, and best practices
- Monthly close process, including preparation of accruals and cutoff entries
- Escalate unresolved issues to direct supervisor
- Performing inventory actions using corporate accounting software.
- Willingness to volunteer and seek out projects and challenges that will help our customers internally and externally, and also help mitigate risks to Leidos
- Candidate must be able to demonstrate strong personal organizational skills, attention to
detail, and ability to work independently.
Basic Qualifications
- Must have a High School diploma/GED with at least two years of relevant inventory control
- Must have experience using Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel,
PowerPoint, and Outlook).
- Ability to work with department leadership to contribute to strategic planning and long-term
vision for the cycle count process.
- Must be able to work both independently and in a cohesive team environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Deltek (Costpoint) ERP software
- At least 3 years of relevant inventory experience
- Knowledge of internal controls and basic audit procedures
- Familiarity with report writing (sequel) or Power BI Dashboard Development
- Experience maintaining database records

Pay Range:
Pay Range $45,500.00 - $82,250.00The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary.
