Leidos’ Defense Systems Electronics Manufacturing is seeking a 2nd Shift Surface Mount Assembly Technician to join our team that runs SMT equipment that produce a variety of Printed Circuit Board Assemblies (PCBA’s).

Primary Responsibilities

• Working knowledge of SMT machines such as: Stencil Printer, Solder Paste Inspection, Pick & Place machine, Reflow Oven, Automated Optical Inspection (AOI), X-ray and hand soldering
• Understanding of different electronics packages such as 0402, 0603, BGA’s and how they are processed on a SMT line
• Experience working under a microscope
• Hand soldering SMT and Through-hole parts
• Works to achieve day-to-day objectives and have significant impact on the work output.
• Works independently under limited supervision
• Work in team environment and interacting with different functions, project teams and productions teams

Basic Qualifications

• HS Diploma/GED and 2-4 years of prior relevant experience.
• Surface Mount Technology experience or related electronics assembly experience
• Knowledge of SMT processes used to build Printed Circuit Board Assemblies
• Ability to read drawings and follow work instructions
• Must be a US Citizen and possess or meet the eligibility to obtain (and be able to maintain) a Secret Clearance
• This posting is for multiple opportunities ranging in years of experience. Level of opportunity, including compensation, will be matched to a candidate's experience.

Preferred Experience

• Current or prior certification in IPC-A-610.
• Current or prior certification in J-STD-001.
• Experience on SMT equipment and hand soldering

Pay Range:

Pay Range $48,100.00 - $86,950.00
