Leidos is seeking talented CNC Machinists for all shifts - 1st shift, 2nd shift and Weekend shifts to join our Mechanical Manufacturing team in Huntsville, AL. The ideal candidate will need to have experience in programming, setup, and operation of a variety of machine tools including CNC Mills and CNC Lathes.

Primary Responsibilities

• The CNC Machinist must be capable of reading engineering drawings and CAD models to produce unique precision parts.

• Experience in the manufacturing of complex aerospace components from exotic materials, such as Titanium, is a plus.

• 5-axis and/or mill-turn experience is a plus.

• This role will work on different projects in an ever changing, rapid paced R&D environment with little or no assistance.

Basic Qualifications

• Candidates must possess a High School diploma/GED with at least 3 years of precision machining experience on CNC Mills & CNC Lathes.

• Candidates must have the ability to lift a minimum of 35+ pounds unassisted.

• Candidate must be able to work overtime when required.

• Regular attendance is required.

• Applicant must be able to work a full-time, 1st shift -4-days per week 10-hours per shift; 2nd shift – 4-days per week 10-hours per shift and Weekend shift 3-days Friday, Saturday, Sunday 12-hours per shift, 6a-6p.

• Candidate must be a US Citizen and possess or meet the eligibility to obtain (and be able to maintain) a Secret Clearance.

Preferred Qualifications

• 5 axis machining experience with Fanuc, Siemens 840D controls.

• (2) two years of 2D & 3D experience with a CAM software tool.

• Experience machining in a prototype environment.

Pay Range:

Pay Range $57,850.00 - $104,575.00
