Leidos’ Defense Systems – Platform Integration Facility is seeking a Quality Inspector to join our growing team. In this role, you’ll ensure electro-mechanical parts and assembled hardware meet strict quality standards in accordance with drawings, specifications, and procedures. You'll also play a key part in supporting documentation, troubleshooting, and non-conformance tracking—directly impacting the performance and reliability of mission-critical defense systems.

This is a fast-paced environment where attention to detail, self-direction, and teamwork are essential.

Primary Responsibilities

• Inspect piece parts, components, and electro-mechanical assemblies (e.g., cable assemblies, structural hardware).

• Read and interpret engineering drawings, test plans, and assembly instructions.

• Perform material verification and inspections, generating inspection reports and documentation.

• Identify and document non-conformances and assist in initiating root cause analysis.

• Use standard measurement equipment (micrometers, calipers, multimeters, etc.) for inspection and calibration.

• Support acceptance testing and generate test documentation.

• Assist with receiving inspection, documentation control, and calibration processes.

Basic Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED required.

• 5+ years of experience in a quality control environment under ISO9001/AS9100 or in DoD, Aerospace, or Automotive manufacturing.

• Proficient with standard inspection tools: micrometers, calipers, multimeters, etc.

• Able to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and specifications.

• Experience generating inspection documentation (inspection reports, bubble prints, Certificates of Conformance, NCRs).

• Understanding of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T).

• Strong communication and collaboration skills within multi-disciplinary teams.

• U.S. Citizenship required.

• Must currently hold or be eligible to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Clearance.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience inspecting complex aerospace hardware and supporting Material Review Board (MRB) processes.

• Familiarity with AS9102 First Article Inspection and Acceptance Data Pack review/creation.

• Knowledge of AS5553 counterfeit prevention practices.

• Experience in handling non-conforming materials and writing/processing NCRs.

• Ability to lift and carry up to 35 lbs.

Pay Range:

Pay Range $59,150.00 - $106,925.00
