Labcorp is seeking a Hard Services Facilities Manager to join our team at Harrogate in North Yorkshire.

Work Schedule: Monday – Thursday 8.45am – 5pm, Friday 8.45am – 4.30pm. 37 hours.

Job Responsibilities:

• Lead the hard services and maintenance function, including in‑house engineers and external service providers.

• Oversee the operation, performance, and reliability of electrical, mechanical and building systems.

• Develop and deliver the campus maintenance strategy (PPM and reactive).

• Plan and manage budgets for engineering services.

• Ensure full compliance with statutory, regulatory, and organisational standards.

• Work collaboratively with the wider facilities team, research groups, lab managers, and operational teams to understand and meet business needs.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Degree, HNC/HND or equivalent in Mechanical, Electrical, or Building Services Engineering.

Preferred Qualifications:

• IOSH/NEBOSH or equivalent health & safety qualification.

Additional Job Standards:

• Significant experience managing hard FM or engineering services in complex, high‑risk environments.

• Proven experience managing engineering contractors and service providers.

• Ideally, experience within research, pharmaceutical, biotech, or other highly regulated laboratory environments.

• Preferably you will have experience as an Authorised Person (AP) or Senior Authorised Person (SAP) status for relevant systems.

• Ideally, you will hold experience with CAFM systems (TMS experience especially advantageous).

• Occasional travel to other UK sites.

• Participation in the managers' on‑call rota.

• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.

• Ability to interpret technical drawings, O&M manuals, and engineering specifications.

• Ability to balance long‑term strategic planning with day‑to‑day operational demands.
