The global head of Contract Logistics automation and innovation leads the global roadmap for automation and innovation within CL. The person formulates and executes together with the continents, countries, CD and IT the global strategy for automation and innovation. 

How you create impact

  • Steer the global automation and innovation agenda in conjunction with continents, countries, CD and IT.
  • Stay up to date in market trends and emerging global innovations and bring to continents and countries.
  • Stay well connected with the relevant suppliers.
  • Drive the relevant global and regional applicable standards in automation. Work closely with procurement and the continents to build global supplier partnerships and approve technical assessments of automation vendors to become global approved suppliers.
  • Drive lessons learned, creating actions ensuring that automation methodology is updated and shared in the countries and continents.
  • For new innovative solutions investigate and work with the continent and country innovation owners to bring new solutions to a ready to deploy state.

What we would like you to bring

  • Extensive experience in contract logistics automation and innovation, with deep knowledge of the global automation market and related suppliers.
  • Proven ability to define, execute, and steer a global automation and innovation strategy in collaboration with continents, countries, IT, procurement, and commercial teams.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with the capability to influence and align global, continental, and country-level management teams.
  • Strong commercial acumen, including a deep understanding of customer requirements and the ability to translate them into automation solutions.
  • Demonstrated experience driving global standards, methodologies, lessons learned, and best practices across regions.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective engagement with internal and external stakeholders.
  • International experience and the ability to build and maintain strategic partnerships with global automation suppliers.
  • Willingness to travel at least 40 percent of the time.
