As a Contract Logistics Specialist at Kuehne+Nagel, you'll manage end-to-end warehousing operations for our customers. National Contract Logistics Senior Business Development Manager is responsible for driving growth by identifying and securing new business opportunities within the consumer sector. This role involves developing strategic relationships with key clients, understanding their logistics needs, and delivering tailored solutions. Additionally, the manager collaborates with internal teams to ensure seamless service delivery and customer satisfaction. On a strategic level this role will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and activating a compelling multi-year commercial vertical plan for the consumer market.

How you create impact

  • Proactively build and expand professional networks; actively approach and engage potential leads.
  • Prepare for and participate in industry events, trade shows, and networking functions.
  • Conduct customer meetings to understand needs and present tailored solutions.
  • Lead and contribute to commercial projects, including project organization, win planning, and proposal development.
  • Manage and execute contract negotiations with clients and partners.
  • Oversee internal commercial project management and ensure alignment with strategic goals.Act as the commercial lead in key projects, responsible for deal closure and contract signing.
  • Validate all commercial offers from a financial perspective to ensure accuracy and profitability.Provide strategic advice and challenge financial and commercial approaches to optimize offers.
  • Conduct in-depth market research to identify emerging trends, customer needs, and competitive dynamics.

What we would like you to bring

  • You have at least a Bachelor's level of working and thinking (HBO-level).
  • You have several years of experience in a similar role and working environment.
  • You possess solid knowledge of contract logistics and understand how to perform under pressure with tight deadlines.
  • You have strong commercial insight—you recognize opportunities and know how to seize them.
  • You are resilient and solution-oriented; setbacks don’t discourage you, but rather inspire you to turn them into new opportunities.
  • You are fluent in English, Dutch is preferable.
