Kuehne + Nagel is looking for a National Contract Logistics Distribution Manager  for the Contract Logistics division. As a National Contract Logistics Distribution Manager, you will be responsible for Supply Chain Design, Strategic Procurement, and Carrier Management for new and existing customers. You are ambitious, results-driven, and highly innovative and entrepreneurial. Transport Logistics experience is essential!

How you create impact

  • Translating Supply Chain requirements from internal (Business Unit/Operations) and external (KN’s Customers) clients into efficient transportation solutions.
  • Collecting and analyzing logistics data through questionnaires, interviews, data dumps from logistics systems, observations, and sampling on the work floor.
  • Gathering and analyzing external transport market data.
  • Performing carrier sourcing activities and tenders, including e-actions, reverse auctions, supplier summits, etc.
  • Drafting contract agreements, SOPs, and SLAs in collaboration with BU, Legal, and Operations.
  • Developing presentations and quotes; creating clear and concise presentations for management to highlight the feasibility of various scenarios.
  • Analyzing existing operational processes and identifying opportunities for optimization.
  • Building and maintaining strategic partnerships with incumbent and potential carriers through KPIs, MBRs, QBRs, etc.

What we would like you to bring

  • University education .
  • Experience in a similar role in the logistics industry.
  • Proficiency with calculation programs and handling large data files.
  • Strong analytical skills; able to analyze complex logistics or transport issues and identify underlying cost drivers.
  • Ideally, knowledge of TMS, FA&P systems, Tender platforms (e.g., Ariba, TI Contract).
  • Commercially oriented and highly communicative/persuasive.
  • Excellent planning and organizational skills, with the ability to motivate others.
  • Stress-resistant Self-Starter, able to work under pressure on multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Good verbal and written knowledge of English
