As a Project Engineer you will play a crucial role in the realization of new construction and larger renovation projects within Kuehne+Nagel Benelux. You will be responsible for delivering facility projects in a timely manner within budget where both client and the Contract Logistics Real Estate Project Manager are positive regarding the provided solution to their request. The goal is to ensure the additions to and adjustments of our warehouses and offices run problem-free, safely and in a secured manner.

How you create impact

• Coordinate cross-functional project teams, contractors, and suppliers for efficient execution.
• Troubleshoot, walk down, and resolve schedule critical issues that arise on the project.
• Integrate customer quality standards and ensure compliance throughout all project phases.
• Support project documentation and reporting to senior management on status, timelines, and budgets.
• Manage all phases of project execution: request, design, preparation, realization, and handover.
• Oversee budget planning and control for ongoing projects.
• Ensure proper risk analysis and approval processes are followed at each stage.
• Prepare and manage technical documentation, permits, and safety protocols.
• Facilitate smooth transition from project completion to business-as-usual operations.

What we would like you to bring

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, or Construction Management or related fields
• 4+ years of experience managing the Real Estate construction project
• Proven record of driving challenging scopes and project to completion
• Excellent written and verbal communication, including executive summaries and presentations
• Ability to read, interpret, and manage changes to tenant improvement drawing packages (Life Safety systems, Mechanical, Electrical, Process, Plumbing and Civil Scopes)
• High proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Primavera P6 (or Microsoft Projects)
• Willingness to spend a large percentage of time in the field and to get hands dirty as needed to complete objectives or find the correct information.
• Ability to work within a high-performance, cross-functional organization with extremely demanding timelines.
• A good knowledge of spoken and written Dutch & English.
