Job Title: Plant Controller – GBS

Band: B12

Location: Mexico City, Mexico

Position at a Glance:

  • The Plant Controller
  • GBS will join our Supply Chain Finance team in Mexico City as part of our Global Capability Center. This role will support and work directly with our local plant controllers who are based in our factories in North America. The key responsibilities rely on managing financial reporting, planning and accounting activities (including budgeting, supporting monthly close process and helping to drive plant productivity). In addition, the Plant Controller
  • GBS is instrumental in supporting cost reduction initiatives and improving operating efficiencies by translating operational performance into financial insights and recommendations as part of our continuous improvement mindset. This position reports to the Supply Chain Finance Lead and indirectly into the on-shore plant controller.

The ideal candidate combines deep technical knowledge of plant accounting (including SAP month-end close, balance sheet reconciliations, financial BOMs and audit readiness) with a proven track record of influencing cross-functional stakeholders and leading operational finance initiatives.

  • This role will support financial results management and highlight risks and opportunities;

  • Support month-end closing process within SAP Catalyst system;

  • Reconcile Plant Balance Sheet accounts;

  • Provide cost forecasting with analysis and productivity pipeline accuracy;

  • Support insights on the achievement of plant KPIs with a strong focus on cost reduction and improved operating efficiencies;

  • Maintain financial standards (financial BOMs);

  • Identify and support process improvements initiatives trough KHMS (Kraft Heinz Management Systems)

  1. Education
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Engineering or a related field;
  1. Experience
  • 7+ years of experience in Finance or Accounting Management;

  • Strong working knowledge of manufacturing operations and product costing;

  • Extensive practical ERP systems knowledge (SAP, Oracle, etc.);

  • Professional accounting designation (CPA, CMA, CGA) and/or MBA in Accounting/Finance would be an asset;

  1. Skills
  • Demonstrated Project and Change Management abilities

  • Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal;

  • Strong analytical and numerical skills, with attention to detail;

  • Eagerness to learn and grow within a global finance environment;

  • Collaborative mindset and a proactive attitude;
