About the Position
The Senior Manager – Commercialization & CI is responsible for leading and overseeing materials planning activities for new and renovation projects. This role ensures the timely availability of materials, optimizes inventory levels, and aligns materials strategies with project timelines, cost targets, and operational requirements. The position leads a team of six materials planning professionals and works cross-functionally with Engineering, Procurement, Project Management, Manufacturing, and Suppliers. Additionally, she/he is in charge of the continuous improvement projects of the materials tower ensuring we continue developing our actual processes. Also, this position manages the materials planning operation for the Lunchables brand (1Billion Brand in Kraft Heinz).
In brief, you will be responsible for:
- Lead and manage materials planning activities for new product introduction (NPI) and renovation projects, from project kickoff through execution and launch.
- Develop and execute materials strategies that support project schedules, cost objectives, and service levels.
- Ensure accurate demand forecasting, material requirements planning (MRP), and inventory optimization for project-related materials.
- Coordinate closely with Project Management, Engineering, Supply Chain, Procurement, and Manufacturing to align materials plans with project milestones and design changes.
- Identify materials risks (availability, lead times, capacity constraints) and proactively develop mitigation plans.
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of four materials planners, setting clear objectives and driving high performance.
- Establish and monitor KPIs related to materials availability, inventory turns, shortages, and project readiness.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance planning processes, systems, and cross-functional collaboration.
- Support supplier readiness and escalation management to ensure on-time delivery of critical materials.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, internal controls, and supply chain best practices.
- Leader of our continuous improvement routines (Sprint Review) where we review all the initiatives the tower has. Additional, is responsible for following up with each project owner.
- Manage the materials planning for the Lunchables brand (1 billion Brand).
People Management Responsibilities
- Directly manage and develop a team of six materials planning professionals.
- Provide coaching, performance feedback, and career development guidance.
- Foster a collaborative, accountable, and results-driven team environment.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Industrial Engineering, Business, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- 8+ years of experience in materials planning, supply chain, or project-based manufacturing environments.
- Proven leadership experience managing teams.
- Strong knowledge of MRP/ERP systems and materials planning processes.
- Experience supporting new product introduction and/or renovation or upgrade projects.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, changing environment.
