Job Description
Position Summary
The Senior Supply Planner is responsible for developing and executing the supply plan to ensure product availability while optimizing inventory levels, capacity utilization, and service performance.
This role leads the end-to-end supply planning process, translating demand signals into an executable production and distribution plan, while proactively managing risks, constraints, and cross-functional alignment.
The Senior Supply Planner acts as a key link between Demand Planning, Manufacturing, Procurement, Deployment, and Logistics to ensure the network operates efficiently and service levels are achieved.
Key Responsibilities:
Supply Planning & Execution:
- Develop and maintain short-, mid-, and long-term supply plans aligned with demand forecasts, production capacity, and inventory targets.
- Execute MRP and planning runs to generate replenishment and production recommendations.
- Translate demand signals into a feasible supply plan considering manufacturing constraints, supplier lead times, and network limitations.
- Monitor and manage service level performance (CFR) ensuring product availability.
Inventory Management
- Optimize inventory levels across the network while maintaining service targets.
- Monitor key inventory KPIs such as:
- Days of Inventory
- Slow/Excess inventory
- Obsolescence risk
- Drive actions to prevent stockouts or excess inventory.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with Demand Planning to review forecast changes and demand variability.
- Coordinate with Procurement to secure raw materials and mitigate supply risks.
- Work closely with Manufacturing to align production plans with capacity constraints.
- Collaborate with Deployment / Logistics teams to ensure proper distribution across the network.
Risk Management & Problem Solving
- Identify potential supply risks and develop mitigation plans.
- Lead short-term recovery plans during supply disruptions.
- Proactively manage constraints related to capacity, materials, or transportation.
Planning Governance & IBP
- Participate in S&OE / IBP planning cycles, providing supply insights and scenario analysis.
- Prepare data and analysis for Supply Review and executive discussions.
- Ensure planning parameters and master data are properly maintained.
Continuous Improvement
- Identify opportunities to improve supply planning processes, tools, and KPIs.
- Lead or support process improvement initiatives (Lean / Six Sigma / automation).
- Promote data-driven decision making within the planning organization.

Qualifications
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in: Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration or Operations or related field
Experience
- +2 years of experience in Supply Planning, Production Planning, or Supply Chain
- Experience working with MRP / APS systems (SAP, OMP, Kinaxis, etc.)
- Experience in S&OP / IBP processes
Skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
- Ability to manage ambiguity and make data-driven decisions
- Strong stakeholder management and cross-functional communication
- Advanced Excel and planning systems knowledge
Preferred
- Experience in CPG / FMCG environments
- Knowledge of network planning and inventory optimization
- Continuous improvement mindset (Lean / Six Sigma)
