This role has been designed as ‘Hybrid’ with an expectation that you will work on average 2 days per week from an HPE office.

Job Description:

HPE Operations is our innovative IT services organization. It provides the expertise to advise, integrate, and accelerate our customers’ outcomes from their digital transformation. What you will do:

Key Responsibilities

  • Own and review enterprise DC, DR, and WAN network architecture, including hybrid and cloud connectivity, cloud network architecture ; act as L3/L4 escalation for complex network issues.

  • Design high-availability and fault-tolerant network architectures, across DC, DR, and cloud environments, supporting large-scale enterprise and microservices-based platforms.

  • Own network BCP and DC/DR strategy for primary DC and DR sites, including cloud-based DR, including inter-DC connectivity, redundancy, and failover design.

  • Design and validate DC–DC and DC–DR networking, DC–Cloud networking, redundancy models, routing, and failover mechanisms.

  • Plan, execute, and review DC/DR drills (planned and unplanned) from a networking perspective, including cloud DR scenarios; ensure network readiness for application DR failover and defined RTO/RPO support.

  • Prepare and maintain BCP/DR runbooks, failover and fallback procedures, including cloud and hybrid failover, lead post-drill RCA, gap analysis, and corrective actions.

  • Coordinate DR activities with application, security, cloud teams, OEMs, and service providers.

  • Oversee day-to-day DC and DR network operations, including cloud network operations, ensuring stability, performance, and availability.

  • Enforce change, incident, and problem management, along with configuration and documentation standards, across DC, DR, and cloud networks.

  • Drive capacity planning, risk assessments, and audit readiness for network infrastructure, including cloud networking components.

  • Mentor network engineers and act as technical SPOC during major incidents and DR events, including cloud outages and failovers, support management reporting on network availability and DR readiness.

What you need to bring:

  • Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Network Engineering, or related field. ; BE / BTech / MCA (CS / Electronics or equivalent); networking certifications preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum 7years of hands on experience in enterprise and data center networking across DC, DR, WAN, Cloud / Hybrid Cloud, and hybrid/cloud environments.
