L2/L3 PDT QA Engineer

Job Description:

We are looking to hire Test Engineers for Product Delivery and Testteam (NPAT-PDT) in Bangalore. The team is responsible for validating various customer use cases in both legacy and eVPN-VxLAN architectures and is accountable for quality assurance of the various L2/L3 domain areas for successful customer deployment.

Be a part of the team with highly energetic and talented engineers working in the areas of Enterprise routing, switching and VPN areas. Will be responsible for high quality deliverables by working with internal teams such as Development, Peer QA teams, Product Management, Program management etc. Expected to build and sustain strong technical skills.

Candidate Requirement:(What You Will Do)

• Must have strong Routing/Switching background with knowledge in different networking protocols
• End to End Solution testing which could include scale testing, migration testing in multi-dimensional testing to qualify the product to be delivered in the customer environment.
• Work with Customers/SE teams to analyze Customer Deployment Architectures, Network Topologies, Configs and Test Plans.
• Extract Customer Use Cases from requirements and test plans.
• Design test plans based on customer solution requirements and Use Case Analysis.
• Must have strong and proven background in design and validation of test automation using Python, Robot frameworks
• Ability to maintain and sustaining multiple automation profiles and frameworks and developing new designs based on customer use case requirement
• Execute test cases and create automation scripts per Use Case.
• Produce a written summary report of the status of Design projects, equipment and network problems on a regular basis to the Customer.
• Assist in Creating Test Automation Frameworks, identifying tools and scripting languages
• A clear understanding of the product development cycle, technical requirements with a strong understanding of concepts related to computer architecture, data structures and programming practices.
• A minimum of 7-10 years of relevant test experience in Layer2/Layer3 technologies on any Switch products (Juniper/Cisco/Aruba/Arista etc)
• A Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Science, Electrical / Electronics Engineering. Master Degree or equivalent experience is highly desired
• Ability to work on multiple deliverables and with minimum supervision is highly desirable

Primary Skills:(What You need to bring)

• Routers/Switches/Security Devices, and Strong IP Networking Fundamentals.
• MPLS, BGP, ISIS, VPN, RSVP, LDP, L3VPN, BGP, OSPF, PIM, MVPN, COS, L2 ckt, VPLS, EVPN-VxLAN.
• Firewalls, IPSec, MAC SEC, MAC Move, GRE/IP-IP Tunnels, ACLv4/v6.
• Hands on experience on Juniper/Other relevant Switches and Routers is highly desirable
• Ability to understand customer requirements/use cases and develop solution test approach and drive to closure
• Proven Automation, scripting delivery in either Python/Pytest framework
• Cloud/MIST/REST API orchestration, Automation and monitoring tools.
• Understanding of Enterprise Campus Architecture and Deployment.
• Relevant NW certifications (CCNP/JNCIP or similar)
