QA Automation Engineer

  

This role has been designed as ‘Hybrid’ with an expectation that you will work on average 2 days per week from an HPE office.

What you'll do:

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: 

• Hands-on end-to-end testing experience, preferably spanning across storage system.
• Develop Automation using Python or other scripting language
• Identify automation use cases and Drive Automation test suite development
• Design, Develop, Review and Maintain Test Plan and Test Cases
• Own QA documentation for defects, procedures and process
• Collaborate with developers to create black box test strategy, test plans and functional specifications
• Design and implement automated test framework for functional & system test
• Ensures product quality through continuous testing and refinement of the code base
• Identify regression coverage for any code changes between builds
• Learn and adapt quickly to the newer technologies

What you need to bring:
 

QUALIFICATIONS/EDUCATION: 

Bachelor of Engineering or Master of Engineering in Computer Science or equivalent. 

REQUIREMENT DETAILS 

• 4-6 years of software engineering experience with a proven track record of quality assurance in storage System 
•  Good knowledge of filesystem.  Parallel filesystems like Lustre, GPFS knowledge is a plus
• Hands on experience of testing and qualification in HPC storage systems is preferable
• Experience in working with linux operating system
• Demonstrated expertise on at-least one automation framework such as pytest
• Good knowledge of Windows/Linux virtualization
• Good understanding of data movement/management technology
• Hands on experience in working with tiered storage solution
• Good understanding of RAID and data storage
• Demonstrated experience in Continuous Integration & Continuous Testing pipelines
• Sound understanding of Agile Scrum practices
• Demonstrated experience working with SMB and NFS protocol servers
• Knowledge of S3 and object storage is a plus
