This role has been designed as ‘Hybrid’ with an expectation that you will work on average 2 days per week from an HPE office.

Job Description:
Join our team as a Senior Technical Program Manager and play a pivotal role in modernizing engineering lab operations, managed services, and our evolving Lab‑as‑a‑Service (LaaS) platform. You will drive programs that transform how engineering organizations consume lab resources—improving efficiency, reliability, automation, and scalability across globally distributed environments.
This role spans physical lab modernization, virtualized lab delivery, centralized inventory systems, and data‑driven operational excellence. Our operations are metrics‑driven; experience with operational analytics, visualization, forecasting, and insight generation is a strong plus.
This is a hybrid role; the selected candidate will work 3 days a week from our office in Fort Collins, CO.
Strategic Lab Consolidation Program Leadership
- Develop, own, and execute end‑to‑end program plans for engineering lab consolidation in alignment with strategic objectives.
- Translate footprint reduction, sustainability, and efficiency priorities into actionable roadmaps.
- Lead cross‑functional cycles defining requirements, site strategies, migration waves, and site exits.
- Integrate consolidation programs with LaaS, virtualization, and centralized inventory models.
- Produce executive‑ready strategy documents, risks, dependencies, and status updates.
Program Leadership & Lab Modernization
- Lead multi‑site engineering lab modernization and transformation efforts.
- Advance the Lab‑as‑a‑Service (LaaS) platform with standardized, self‑service access.
- Define SLAs, service tiers, workflows, and capacity standards for improved reliability.

S Platform & Virtual Lab Program Ownership:
- Define and execute the roadmap for LaaS and virtual engineering labs.
- Deliver scalable virtual lab services supporting hybrid and remote engineering.
- Drive onboarding, usage expansion, and operational maturity across business units.
Centralized Inventory, Sharing & Reservation Systems
- Lead programs for centralized inventory platforms covering physical and virtual assets.
- Oversee reservation systems enabling shared access to constrained lab resources.
- Integrate DCIM, CMDB, and lifecycle tools to ensure accuracy and visibility.
- Define KPIs for utilization, reservation efficiency, and lifecycle health.
Operational Execution & Tooling
- Own Smartsheet, Share Point, Jira, DCIM, Teams governance, and dashboards.
- Drive workflow automation, telemetry, and process standardization.
- Ensure tooling readiness for consolidation, LaaS, virtualization, and inventory ops.
Stakeholder Management & Executive Alignment
- Manage executive alignment, cross‑BU governance, and structured sign‑off cycles.
- Lead weekly status forums, executive readouts, and decision‑making reviews.
Financial Governance & Funding
- Partner with Finance on budgets, forecasts, ROI, and savings tracking.
- Validate funding requests and operational savings models.
Technical Coordination
- Coordinate networking, firewall policies, segmentation, IPSEC, and hybrid connectivity.
- Support commissioning plans for migrations, LaaS releases, and virtual labs.
Risk, Change, & Communication Management
- Maintain risk registers, change logs, and mitigation strategies.
- Publish dashboards, announcements, and executive summaries.
Required Qualifications
- 8–10+ years in technical program management across engineering labs or infrastructure.
- Experience with lab consolidation, virtualization, LaaS, and shared-resource platforms.
- Proficiency with Jira, Smartsheet, Share Point, Teams, PowerPoint, and analytics.
- Knowledge of lab networking and security models.
- Budget ownership experience.
- PMP or equivalent preferred.
