HPC Storage Benchmark Expert
Location: UK and Dubai
Type: Permanent Full time
Are you passionate about high‑performance computing and excited by the challenge of shaping next‑generation HPC solutions? We’re a team of highly skilled professionals delivering advanced HPC Engineering across EMEA & LATAM, and we’re looking for an HPC Storage Benchmark Expert to join us.
About Us
Our team brings together deep, varied expertise across the HPC landscape. We include specialists in performance analysis for user workloads, ISV applications, and a wide range of benchmarks. We collaborate closely across regions and work directly with customer support teams to deliver cutting‑edge, reliable, high‑performance solutions.
About the Role
As an HPC Storage Benchmark Expert, you’ll play a key part in designing, validating, and defending HPC storage solutions for medium and large‑scale tenders across EMEA & LATAM.Your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting tender responses by analysing customer storage requirements
- Designing and proposing optimal storage architectures alongside Presales teams
- Running benchmarks on existing systems and projecting performance for future systems
- Developing detailed, accurate reports to support solution recommendations
- Validating commitments by executing customer tests on delivered systems
- Sharing insights, knowledge, and best practices internally and with customers
- Collaborating with top‑tier researchers, software engineers, and technical teams to help shape future products
This is a highly collaborative role where you will engage with talented professionals from diverse backgrounds and interact with leading research organisations across the region.
What We’re Looking For:
Required Education & Experience
- B.Sc. or equivalent in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics
- Deep knowledge of HPC storage environments, including:Linux kernel fundamentals
- High‑performance interconnects
- Parallel file systems (e.g., Lustre, GPFS)
- Software‑defined storage (e.g., DAOS, VAST, Weka) — desirable
- I/O and communication libraries, gained through work with large‑scale HPC systems
- Proven ability to triage complex issues, create reproducible test cases, and collaborate with R&D to resolve bugs
- Experience delivering technical content through presentations or training sessions
- A willingness to adopt and apply new tools, programming paradigms, and technologies

- Strong team player with the ability to operate independently when needed
- Excellent interpersonal and customer‑facing skills
- Calm, professional approach under pressure and tight deadlines
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Fluent in English (spoken and written)
