Job Summary
As a Loan Servicing Manager – Associate within the Loans group, you will monitor and guide the team daily to meet all SLAs and operational objectives. You will oversee deal lifecycle activities—deal closings, drawdowns, rollovers, repayments, pre‑payments, funding, rate‑fixings, fees, and external payments—while managing Nostro and past‑due reconciliations. You will also coordinate settlement of primary and secondary par and distressed loan trades across EMEA, working with internal and external stakeholders to resolve escalations and drive Loan Market Association (LMA) initiatives.
Job Responsibilities
- Monitor daily performance to ensure SLAs are achieved and exceptions are escalated promptly.
- Oversee deal lifecycle activities including closings, drawdowns, rollovers, repayments, funding, rate‑fixings, fees, and external payments.
- Coordinate timely settlement of primary and secondary par and distressed loan trades across EMEA with trading desks, agents, brokers, and clients.
- Interpret and apply LMA standard documents, confirmations, and assignment agreements.
- Expedite settlement timelines by removing blockers and streamlining handoffs across settlement groups.
- Engage counterparties, internal partners, and external agents to investigate and resolve trade and funding issues.
- Create and present management metrics (e.g., cycle time, aged items, volumes, breaks) to track performance.
- Analyze data to identify market and process trends and recommend improvement actions.
- Attend agent meetings to build strong relationships and represent operations priorities.
- Manage Nostro and past‑due reconciliations, escalating breaks and ensuring timely clearance.
- Document procedures, risks, and controls; drive continuous improvement and audit readiness.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Hold a Bachelor’s degree and minimum 8 years of relevant syndicated loan servicing or back‑office experience.
- Communicate clearly and professionally in both written and verbal forums with clients and stakeholders.
- Demonstrate strong analytical skills and sound problem‑solving judgment.
- Operate with high organization and effective prioritization under tight deadlines.
- Maintain rigorous attention to detail with a strong control and risk mindset.
- Leverage advanced Excel, Word, and PowerPoint to analyze, track, and report operational metrics.
- Resolve issues independently day‑to‑day while delivering excellent client service.
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Apply working knowledge of Loan IQ and Clear Par.
- Demonstrate extensive familiarity with the LMA market and practices.
- Exhibit subject‑matter expertise in loan transfer documentation and loan settlements.
- Utilize European language skills to support EMEA stakeholders and documentation.
- Bring experience coordinating EMEA loan settlement conventions and timelines.
