As the Lead Technical Program Manager within the Technology Sustainability team, you will promote the successful delivery of complex technology projects and programs that align with the firm's business goals. You will leverage your deep knowledge of technical principles, practices, and theories to develop innovative solutions while effectively managing resources, budgets, and high-performing teams. Your strong analytical reasoning and adaptability skills will enable you to navigate through ambiguity and change, ensuring that technology initiatives align with business objectives. With advanced communication and stakeholder management abilities, you will foster productive working relationships and influence decision-making to achieve mutually beneficial outcomes. As a subject matter expert, you will contribute to the development of operational plans and risk management strategies, ensuring the highest quality and professionalism in service delivery.
Job responsibilities
- Link technology sustainability to the firm’s broader sustainability goals and identify opportunities for alignment.
- Support Lines of Business in leveraging technology sustainability within client communications.
- Identify further opportunities to advance technology sustainability across firm-wide initiatives, such as the Operational Sustainability Council and Climate Advisory.
- Embed technology sustainability into JPMC’s technology practices and culture.
- Ensure the tech sustainability programme aligns with other technology-wide initiatives for maximum impact.
- Establish sustainability as a Non-Functional Requirement in decision-making, with traceable and repeatable processes.
- Build strong relationships with each technology organisation to drive engagement in the sustainability programme.
- Oversee effective execution and management of all technology sustainability processes, tracking progress and issues.
- Develop clear decision-making processes to prioritise analysis and change programmes based on return on investment.
- Maintain a well-structured approach across all streams of work and provide a clear “shop front” for JPMC employees.
- Deliver comprehensive reports and insights to senior leadership, highlighting sustainability opportunities and strategic initiatives.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Experience in Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG), sustainability, or technology program management, with a focus on technology sustainability.
- Experience or equivalent expertise in technical program management, leading complex technology projects and programs in a large organization.
- Strong understanding of ESG frameworks, reporting standards and regulatory requirements.
- Advanced expertise in stakeholder management, with the ability to establish productive working relationships and influence decision-making across cross-functional teams and clients
- Advanced experience in utilizing technical fluency, including knowledge of vendor products and managing vendor relations, to enable on-demand access to shared pools of applications and services
- Proven track record of effectively managing resources, budgets, and high-performing teams in a fast-paced, agile environment
- Demonstrated proficiency in applying analytical reasoning and problem-solving techniques to break down business, technical, or operational objectives into manageable tasks and activities
